New Zealand Canned Catfood Wet Food, High-Meat, Low-Carb, & Grain Free Cat Food Wet, Lamb & Salmon Feast, 6 oz, Pack of 12

Cats are meat eaters and cannot process carbs. This is one of the ONLY canned cat foods that I can find without carbs (fillers, vegies, rice, etc.). And this cat food has become extremely hard to find at my local pet food stores so I am thankful to find it on Amazon. (note: there are a couple other canned foods out there without carbs, but they are mostly only tuna - which is not all that healthy for cats as a staple). The price of this excellent food is pretty high compared to other foods. It has gone up within the past year quite a bit.

I once gave this a flowery 4 stars, only not 5 because it's so expensive. I had 4 12-packs of this saved up from stocking up and something about my most recent two batches is different. Right away on opening, it smelled different. Used to be a fishy smell that wasn't even bad. I like fish. Felt I could probably eat it myself in a pinch. There was less of a smell and when I got close, it just smelled off and not pleasant. Cats rely heavily on scent to decide if something is edible. Consistency and color also seemed different like it fell apart more easily when I used to cut it in half and put half in the frig for tomorrow. Now I'm stuck with 4 12-packs of EXTREMELY expensive cat food that my cats hate.

EDIT: I did contact Feline Natural and they replaced the cases that my cats wouldn't eat. I was impressed with their customer service. Amazon won't refund it, but they did send me a replacement in a different flavor. I love this company. I still won't order the salmon flavor because I'm not sure my cats would eat it if it was an 'off batch' again, but they love the chicken and venison and the chicken flavors. Going to try the beef next. They really are thriving on this food. This is my two cats very favorite flavor of this food, which is high quality usually, but we have received THREE different cases (at nearly $60 a case) that my cat's won't eat in the lamb/king salmon flavor. Normally, this food has a pink color to it. The three batches that my cats won't touch have an expiration of April of 2027, and each case has a brown/yellow color to it. My cats won't touch it. The company swears it's fine, but odd that this batch is the one my cats will not even touch. They will not refund your money either. So, though it's their favorite flavor (when it's good) I won't order it again. We have never had an issue with the Chicken and Venison or the Chicken and Lamb. This is the only food my cats will eat, so I'm sort of stuck ordering it now, and will no longer order the Lamb and King Salmon. There is something off with it. My cats didn't get sick from it, but left it in their dish for the entire day each time I tried to feed it to them, both of them, so it could be the fact that they wouldn't eat it that they didn't get sick. I won't chance it again since I am unable to return this product and they will not issue a refund. It's a shame. A company should stand by their product when there is something off with it, especially since I order a case every week since they go through roughly two cans a day total. Just a warning to not order this flavor.

My kitties love this product. I destroy it up and haven’t had any problems with it.

I prefer a smaller can so I do not have to refrigerate the rest until needed. I like how the ingredients are limited.

This product is super inconsistent. I had a subscription to both chicken and venison and to the king salmon and lamb. Now cancelling both subscriptions. For the King Salmon and lamb one of my cats ate the food the first time I put it down from this recent delivery and then was throwing up for 2 days and also had diarrhea. Now both of them refuse to eat it. They rather starve. The food looks a weird brown yellow color but the last time I got it, it looked pinkish. For my subscription to the chicken and venison I never actually received the chicken and venison instead they send me different ones the last one they sent instead of it is lamb and my cats don’t like it and there’s no returns. Waste of money.

My cats hated this cat food and it was very expensive now I’m stuck with two flats of it. Trying to mix it with something they did like, but they still pick it out and don’t eat it for an expensive cat food. This is really disappointing.
