Great quality and price.
This kit yields so much soap! It's so easy to use. I made tons of soap for my own personal use and for gifts to friends and family members. The quality is excellent and the moisturizing feels so wonderful on your skin! It's easy to use and melts really well at a low temperature. I will definitely purchase more from this supplier!

Great lather, definitely recommend
I normally make cold process soaps but the curing process takes a while (8 weeks) and I needed soap so...here we are. I have primarily used goats milk but there was a pretty good price difference so while waiting on my soap to cure, I decided to try this. This was a new medium for me. Of course I decided to make a 5 pound batch, three different scents. Should have started with a 1 pound but all is well, I have soap they just arent fancy like my normal. I use mica pigment mixed with olive oil for swirling color. I usually do this when I first pour. Don't. If you use mica, make more than you usually do. Wait for it to cool about 10-20° or until you see the film starting on top in the mold. I did it while it was still too warm and one batch, the pigment floated to the top in an oily mess. The good news was these arent for public consumption. I wound up just mixing it all up and got a weird color as I used two pigments. If you sculpt the tops for fancier soaps, wait for the film to kind of really form before doing so. On the smallest batch, I got lucky and figured out what was happening and it turned out much better because I was fretting over the first couple molds and it gave the smaller one a chance to cool. Go a bit heavier on the essential oils (or fragrance oils) for fragrance. It took double what I use for cold process. The best part, this soap is heavy enough on the shea butter to not dry skin. I live in Arizona so this is an issue if I dont use lotion all day. This soap didn't leave my skin dry. It lathers beautifully and it doesnt dissolve quickly or leave a pile of goop on your soap dish. I may use this as a regular product for smaller orders, once I get the coloring and fragrance ratios more consistent. If you want solid colors rather than fancier swirls, proceed as normal. Or don't use color. They are great just as white bars. This mixture doesnt have the yellowy shea color. Vanilla always messes with coloring but if you know that in advance you can work with it. I highly recommend this stuff and if you are just learning to do melt and pour its a great medium to start with. Start on smaller batches it you need practice.

Wonderful Soap Base!
I absolutely love this Goats Milk Soap Base. It melts quickly in the microwave. I use it to poor into silicon molds and gift them to my Fed Ex Drivers, Amazon, and Postal drivers. If you add color make sure you mix it thoroughly otherwise it will show on your hands when you wash. The drying process takes about an hour for larger molds. Overall, it was a great fun project that will make many soap bars.

GREAT SOAP BASE & FOR A PRETTY FAIR PRICE, TOO! I'M PLANNING TO BUY MORE!
I've been having a difficult time finding a clear enough soap (as well as one a bit cheaper than the Crown Jewels!) for embedding items in my baby-related soap bars. MY LAST EXPERIENCE: I found what I thought was a 'good deal' on a 5# block of clear soap, ordered it and in due time it arrived. It might just as well been April 1st when I opened it--and I was definitely THE FOOL!! I never saw such yellow STUFF purporting to be CLEAR Melt & Pour! It was basically OK if you didn't need clear. So I did use it in several other items that it worked out in, such as Oatmeal/Honey Facial Bars; French Vanilla Coffee Bars; Soap Petals: "Clear", Colored in Molds; etc. But I was STILL in need of a GOOD, Non-Yellow, CLEAR Melt & Pour, Glycerin as a supply that I won't have to take out a loan my grand kids'll be paying off when I'm gone. Hobbies are supposed to be fun-not give you strokes, migraines, heart-attacks, & appoplexy!! Enter ZenseMe 5.5# Clear Glycerin Soap Base! On the Website it looked like it was nice and clear, the price wasn't crippling (There was even an "extra" 1/2# compared to all the others). When it came (which was fast) it WAS NICE and CLEAR, as PROMISED. It was also packaged in the NICEST, heavy-gauge BOX, too. (A NICE HEAVY BOX, I can always find a use for, even if it's only to put away for the next gift that will fit it for birthday or Christmas.) All the others either came wrapped only in thin cellophane, in flimsy plastic boxes, or (a bit better) plastic tubs (at least you can recycle plastic tubs) . Now, I have a NEW "GO TO" BRAND for my CLEAR SOAP BASE. It has a lovely thick lather, mixes well with other additives and sets up nicely in the mold, just like you'd expect from a good quality soap. I know now who I'll be buying my clear glycerin melt & pour soap from, as long as they keep their prices in check. A few cents on the ounce are handlable, for a while at least. I'll e looking into different styles of soaps theyr may make as soon as I submit this review. As of now, I'm very pleased with the quality all across the board of their soap. I did hold back the one star in the last category: Value for Money: Due to the fact that it COULD be a bit lower in price and still be competitive. It seems to be in the soaps, that as soon as you get into a little bit of good value, the manufacturers seem to want to "make a killing" on every sale instead of being a little patient and giving the consumer a break for a change. We're all struggling with the economy, you know, try being part of a remedy once in a while instead of always having the claws out and grabbing at the consumers. You keep this aggressiveness going like this and we, the consumer will get fed up and you, the retailer will NOT like the result. It's happened before. Remember: Those who forget history, are doomed to repeat it!
