My gown is beautiful, and a nice durable and decently heavy weight. Its sewn and assembled well, the colors all look nice. It made it through a gentle cycle cold wash/cold rinse in my washing machine followed by air drying over the shower rod and still looks beautiful. The laces are really nice but I removed the corset lace from the bodice and left the one between my shoulders because I preferred the look and the way it felt. When the bodice is laced, no matter how much I pulled and pinched and twisted, the inset panel was always puckered and ugly. As soon as I removed that front corset lacing, the inset panel dropped down and was smooth as can be. The laces are meant to be strung through short loops of lacing sewn into the joining between the center panel and the main garment. Without the lace in them, they are barely visible. I may leave them on, or I may decide to snip them off because the gown looks spectacular without the bodice laced. At any rate, Im going to leave the back laced bc it helps cinch it in and give me a beautiful waistline. I would purchase from this company again!

This dress exceeded my expectations. The material is a nice quality material. It has a nice weight to it but it's not too heavy. The color looks better in person it has that really nice velvety look to it almost like a crushed velvet. I wasn't able to wear this one because it got to my house too late for an event I was attending, but I was able to get the red one that is identical to this. This to me is a gown that you can wear for Halloween but I think it's too nice to wear to more casual costume parties. I wore mine to a Presidential Ball and it fit but whatever works for you is great and you will get tons of compliments. The only thing I would love to see is for the buyer or whomever makes this dress make the strings the same color as the tan part of the dress. I feel like the corset strings in Black takes away from the dress, but just a little. I am 5'7 and I weigh approximately 210 lb. I wear typically a size 14 in women and I ordered a 2X and it fit really well. It has a lot of stretch to it so I could have actually downsized and it would have shaped me more but nonetheless I am beyond pleased.
