Travel Pro For Life
Had a canvas Travel Pro, wheels could not be repaired, so now I use it for storage. Purchase shell luggage and it is great. Travel Pro is the best in my opinion.

Very happy!
Very light weight, yet very sturdy with great wheels to roll in any direction.

Plenty of room, sturdy, easy to wheel around
My previous suitcase was something I picked up in Target. OK for the basics, and it did work as a suitcase. After some years of service, though, it was worn out -- zippers were jamming, the canvas had wear marks where it was wearing thin. Not quite done with service but close. I wanted to get something that had enough space for at most a week, would be durable, and would allow me to take it as a carry-on. I found out about this brand from Wirecutter, and I'm not disappointed. Versus the "OK" Target stuff, you can tell that the materials in this bag are of higher quality, the wheels roll more smoothly, the organization of clothes (especially if you use a few packing cubes) is light years better. I also like the hard shell versus canvas, I was less worried about stuff getting crushed if another suitcase was put on top.So the price point was one "jump" above what stuff might cost you at a big box store, but seems like that little jump gets you a pretty big improvement. I know there's more expensive stuff out there, maybe people that lives out of their suitcases and travel extensively find value in that. This seems like a pretty decent compromise.

good bag, skip the TSA lock
Strong, lightweight, good capacity, rolls easily. The TSA lock is flimsy. It got stuck when I tried to reset the code and I had to go to a luggage place to get it cleared. Leave the setting on 000 or don't use the lock at all.

Sorely Disappointed Travelpro
I would Never buy the Travelpro Maxlite Air Hardside Carry-on luggage again. The handle does not lock into place in the mid or low range, only when it is fully extended. The product description did not state this anywhere. If they had stated this outright, I never would have purchased this bag. Because of this, maneuvering the bag was awkward, unstable, tipped over daily, and made it very difficult to wheel it down a regular city street, let alone cobblestones. Even moving through the airport was a hassle!Other carry-on bags I have owned, easily locked in multiple positions, making them smooth and manageable. None of them were as difficult to wheel, even across smooth surfaces!, as this bag. I am sorely disappointed with Travelpro and trying to return the bag now.My one week trip to England was a torture trying to maneuver this unstable bag over bumpy pavement, streets and curbs. It tipped over daily, causing me to trip and stumble, stop and right the bag, while having to grip the handle extra hard and muscle the bag everywhere we went. A week after returning home, I landed in the hospital because of severe back pain, no doubt the lingering effects of dragging this bag around. (FYI – I do not have chronic back pain.)Even more disappointing is that, after copious amounts of research to find just the right bag for my needs, I thought I could count on Travelpro to provide an excellent product and warranty. Wrong. Found out from the suitcase repair guy that he doesn't even carry this brand anymore and that Travelpro customer service is terrible. I'll let you know if they refund my purchase. That would at least demonstrate a small shred of integrity.

Best Carry On Ever!
This is the best carry-on that I have every purchased in my life! It is extremely durable and I have taken it all over the world. It withstood the cobblestone streets in France without any problems. It is very lightweight, so even when packed full, I can easily lift it over my head (I am 65). I love the feature that sets it apart from others: the double, zippered insides. Even when they are full, I have used the space in between the sides to pack a suit jacket, keeping it wrinkle-free. I rarely give any purchase 5 stars, but this is such an amazing suitcase I have purchased two more as gifts. I highly recommend it!

BUY IT!!!!!
Bought the used version to save $$ and it has exceeded my expectations!!!! The older version I have is 10 years old and still holding up, just needed more to accommodate my family when traveling. 10/10 PLUS I paid almost 1/2 of what a brand new Travelpro MAXLITE from their website and took a chance on a used one. Still had all its tags and the box was slightly damaged but the suitcase is perfect! Would have used travelpros website but they were sold out at the time. The color is gorgeous and it will stand for years to come.

No lo vale
Me llego mas pequeña de lo mencionado, se siente frágil y de mala calidad, no trae cinturones de sujeción por dentro. Mucho dinero por tan poco.

Great Quality, Crisp Looking, & Perfect Size for Carry-On Only Travel!
Purchased my 21” Maxlite Air specifically to make the switch to Carry-On Only air travel. Had just returned from nearly 3 weeks in France and due to airline chaos in summer 2022 we went carry on only. My wife had a small roller but I had 40L Patagonia Black Hole Duffel which was great but a pain to lug through airports. The Maxlite gives me the same capacity, in a very lightweight hard sided 4-wheel roller. Super high quality and bang for your buck, consistent with all the reviews I had read. Also gives the option to expand it 2” in depth if you wanted to do some shopping and then check the bag on way home. I’ll update my review after our next trip this fall but it is ALL a question of capacity for me so I did a packing test-run.I’m a slim shorter guy (small shirts, 29/30 pants, size 7 shoes) so judge accordingly about quantities. But as per photo attached, I determined the max I can bring as: 8-10 tees/polos, 6-7 button-up shirts, 1 light sweater, 4-5 shorts/swim trunks, 4-5 pants, 1 blazer, 2 jackets, 3 belts, 10 underwear, 12 socks, 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of sandals. That includes what I wear on the plane (jeans, tee, sweater, jacket, 1 of the pairs of shoes). But everything else went in the suitcase, along with sunglasses, lint roller and electric razor…and that is NOT expanded. That’s up to 18 tops…and therefore 18 outfits, making Carry-On only a totally realistic option for ANY length of trip, especially if you had a Vrbo or Airbnb with laundry. I will add a third pair of shoes in my small daypack “personal item” along with my toiletries and electronics. So it had surprising capacity and was still very lightweight when full. The right hand side that has the handle beneath has less space kind of in 3 little channels, so pack accordingly with shoes etc slotted in between. The Maxlite Air 21” was below all the carry on dimensions for all airlines I checked and I looked at pretty much all the Canadian, American, and European carriers, including discount ones like Easyjet and Ryanair.I’m officially converted to traveling light…and the TravelPro seems to be the perfect fit to make it a more comfortable walk through airports or along city streets. Again will update after my first trip…but hope the above info is useful for anyone who (like me) was very hesitant to ditch the checked luggage.

Pretty good
My work bag broke and I have been using this in the meantime- it’s fairly durable. I take it to work (I’m a flight attendant) x2 a week all over North America and have packed it to the brim. The inside quality is quite good. Only negative I have after using it for months is that the wheels squeak. Otherwise, I feel that the average traveller will get a lot of good quality use out of it. Fits standard overhead bins as well as smaller aircraft overhead bins 👍🏻

Gorgeous and functional
As someone who has previously used the Travelpro Maxlite soft case, I appreciate the convenience of an external pocket for quick access to items. However, I recently switched to the Travelpro Maxlite Air Hardside 21" carry-on and have found that the hard-shell design offers more structure and protection for my belongings during travel. While it doesn't have an external pocket, the interior organization system is well-designed and maximizes packing space. Overall, I am pleased with my decision to upgrade to the Maxlite Air Hardside and would recommend it to other travelers in need of a reliable and structured suitcase.
