Ease of use easy to clean and empty. No overflow from cup part. Holds lots of liquid.
This is a wonderful aid for bedridden person it literally has eased my husbands trauma and my caregiving after he almost died from virus. It is totally brilliant works so well … in fact I took it to the hospital for use there as nothing else worked. Thanks so much. Highly recommend it.

A very functional urine bottle
I generally have to urinate several times or more during a night’s sleep. My old bladder isn’t as effective as it was in my younger years. The large container size (2000 ml) and the convenient hose allow me to stay in my warm bed all through the cold nights. Since I live in drought plagued California, I also use it during the day so that I don’t have to flush the toilet so often. The low profile and large, flat bottom make it quite stable. However, one night it ended on its side, from which position it did leak, probably from the small air hole in the hose attachment. I recommend this product.

Buy a different tube & this works great!
The tube this originally came with is cheap & it is why I gave this product a rating of 4 vs. 5. The original tube got a hole in it the first few times we used it. They kindly sent us a replacement (of the entire product). The replacement also got a hole. This was frustrating because I didn't know if it was because the original ribbed tube was thin and cheap or if we were placing the urinal incorrectly as my family member would still wake up soaking wet in the morning. I almost gave up on it, but then realized we could go to the hardware store & buy a different solid/thick tube. It was a bit tricky to get the new thick clear tube on that I purchased (but not hard as I had to fold one end of the tube to get it inside the pre-fixed hole on one end. But once we got it in it was secure and stays in). I suggest you go to the hardware store with the original tube to buy one the same diameter & have them cut the new better tube a bit longer than the original. Now that we have the new tube in my family member wakes up completely dry & we are saving time (doing laundry & cleaning our family member), money (on laundry) and the headaches from no longer having soaked sheets, pj's etc. Here is my advice: This is a great product if you are sick of your loved one being wet in the morning from incontinence. 1. get a different thicker clear tube from the hardware store and replace the tube it comes with Note: you may have to make one hole slighter on the urinal bigger or fold one end of the tube onto itself to fit it through the diameter of the existing urinal hole. Make sure this tube is NOT smaller in diameter than the pre-fixed holes or the tube will fall out. And have it cut a bit longer than the original length because the thicker tube isn't as flexible and you will need the length to make it to the base on the ground properly. 2. cover the outside of the holder that goes on the privates with a old washcloth (it's hard plastic so this makes it more comfortable & less likely to leave a mark on the thighs) 3. make sure the holder that goes onto the private area is slightly tilted down at the tube end to direct urine flow away from the body into the tube 4. we put our loved one in a larger tabbed diaper - no pj pants - & have the back of the diaper slightly lower than the front for bedtime so that you can pull the front over the "holder" to help keep it in place at night. We pull the diaper tabs tight on each side to help keep it in place. This can be tricky but you will get used to it. 5. I also add a thinner shower towel and tuck it under each side our loved one sort of like a "toga" so that our loved one won't accidently touch or move the urinal/diaper. Then, I pull the oversized PJ t-shirt down over the "toga" so there is even less change of hands moving it. 6. If in a hospital bed tuck the tube on the side of the bed between the bars and the mattress to help keep it in place. This is not necessary, but is nice in case there is slight movement at night. 7. we place the base of the urinal on top of disposable chucks so that the tube is stretched out for the urine to flow in a downward motion into the base. 8. we add a velcro ankle weight (2-5 lb is fine) to hold the base onto the ground. We simply stretch the weigh out lengthwise into the handle. I think this is important. The tube I bought is rigid so the base could easily tip over without this weight. It has not spilled once with the weight tucked into the handle so that it drapes on both sides of the base. 9. We only use this urinal at night for bed (& clean it every morning & let it air dry). If your loved one is not fidgety or restless in the night I would suggest this product ONLY if you get a new after market thicker tube, use a diaper/towel to hold it firmly in place on the person & place a weight on the base to accommodate for the new rigid tube that might flip the base over with slight body movement. This may seem like a lot, but it's not. This is easy & has saved me from lots of extra work in the morning. I will not stop using this now that I got a new improved tube.

Urinal
I saw other reviews on this and yes, the tube is delicate but otherwise its a good unit.

Easy to Use; a Little Difficult to Rinse Out
This urinal will save me making many inconvenient trips from my sofa to empty my bladder. The only drawback(s) I've experienced so far is a slight difficulty with rinsing the collection hose out, it being too long to hold easily under a sink faucet, and the fact that there is no nearby hook onto which I could hang the collection cup on the end of the hose.

Leaks
It leaks but was a good idea

Portable Urinal with Tubing
This is a replacement for last urinal tubing which cracked at base screw in, creating a leakage problem. This product works well for urine storage until emptied (daily). I would suggest adding a small bit of aroma solution to keep odors down.

This is how I use it. If you do it this way, you will learn to do it very fast.
First, I would like to advise you to buy the one with the cleaning brush included. It's just a dollar more. It's best to just leave the plastic lid off all the time. Put a binder clip on one side of your nightstand drawer to keep it open a few inches, then hook the blue part on the front of the drawer. (You can twist the blue part on the hose to orient it correctly). Then cover the open end with your wash rag. When you need to go, you will be lying on your side. Put the washrag under the "area" in case of leakage and to dry off, because the inside of the blue part gets a little wet. Can't help that. Then use the blue part at an angle with the hose side lower than the business side and it won't leak backwards. You need to be close to the edge of the bed for the best results. When finished, raise the blue part up high to clear all the liquid from the hose, because if it falls off the front of the drawer, that liquid will go into your carpet. (Actually, that never happened to me. I'm just playing it safe. Next, hang it back up on the drawer then dry your "area" if needed, then put your washrag back on top. I clean my device once or twice a day. I use "Urine Destroyer" sold here on Amazon. First, I rinse the container and the hose+blue+cap separately with hot water. The hot water makes the hose very limp but it doesn't seem to hurt it. Do not take the hose assembly apart. The only thing you take off is the screw on cap from the white bottle. Then with the hose assembly empty, squirt 3 pumps of urine destroyer in the hose, (I use a re-purposed soap dispenser pump) then add hot water and move it up & down to cover the inside of it. Then I hold the cap on the container and raise the blue part up so as to dump the liquid into the white container, then I swish it around and pour it out in the toilet, then put screw the white cap back on. It's now ready for another night. Not to get into my urinary problems to much, when I get the urge, I have a matter of seconds to get to the facility. I have had numerous accidents and I found that I needed a pad for my bed. I bought 2 because one might be in the wash. This one works great: The Original GORILLA GRIP Non-Slip Incontinence Mattress Pad for Bed Wetting (52"x 34"), Maximum Absorbency, Slip Reducing Backing, Extra Soft, Machine Washable, Perfect for Adults, Children, & Pets Good luck to you.
