Good for the money and small boat.
Pretty good overall, had to drill some holes to match the mounting hardware on the boat.

cheap construction
after a couple of time using it for a fairly heavy load - but nowhere near its listed capacity - the ratchet function no longer worked, and it started releasing the load without warning

Two teeth broke out of it the gear the third time I used it.
It is made of poor quality. Gear broke two teeth the third I used it. It rated for 3500 on and wouldn’t pull my boat up, but the one replaced it with is rated 2500 and has no problem pulling the boat. Bad deal!

Very light weight, more like 800 lbs to my view
Seriously doubt the rating- very flimsy, thin metal, light weight. I chose not to use it and it's in the attic. Should have returned it right away

Chinese junk
Five teeth on the main gear broke while winching my boat tight to the trailer, first trip out. Previous winch was good for 16 years and rated a thousand pounds less.

Very very cheap
The winch was complete garbage. When it first arrived the box was inside a box and destroyed. It didn’t come with a handle to operate the winch either.
