Good Quality Coffee Percolator for fair price.
I have enjoyed perked coffee for 20+ years. Ive always used an electric perk pot but the wire always shorts out after a few years. So after reading many reviews for stovetop pots I decided to try this one. I figured if I didn't like I would return it. Well I am very pleased with it so far. I have used it daily for over a week and after adjusting to ratio of coffee to water, I really like it. It takes about 8 min to see the water start to perk, and theotn I time 6-7 min for perking. Then I let it stand for the remainder of the water to drip through the grounds and I enjoy. I also use a paper filter before spooning in the grounds. I never see any loose grounds in my coffee. The handle gets warm, but never too hot to touch. The metal of the pot as well as the basket feels very thick and durable and good quality. It's very easy to clean. The spring on the stem was loose and fell into my sink while cleaning, but I managed to attach it in such a way then it won't slide off anymore. So far I am very happy.

Great Old Fashioned Coffee. New Improved Design
I am familiar with using a stove top percolators so there were little surprises when I used it. With patience and practice with measurements, I enjoyed a great cup of coffee. The pot that I got apparently is a newer design that addressed some of the issues on some older reviews. It had water measurements on the inside and outside. Plastic top is secure and cleans easily. I had reservations about a wooden handle but quickly changed my mind when it was much, much cooler than a metal one. I just need to be careful when I wash it not to damage the wood with aggressive cleaning. The only issues I had was when washing it the first time, the spring snapped off the stem so now I have to be extra careful not to loose it. It's not worth the bother of a replacement. The metal top that goes on the part where the coffee grounds are doesn't saturate the coffee grounds fast enough so I take it off for a faster brew. Truly a very pleasant surprise. This was the least expensive of the coffee pots I was considering and I am very happy with great tasing coffee like my grandparents used to enjoy.

The perfect coffee pot
I recently purchased Hillbond’s 9 cup Percolator Coffee Pot, Stainless Steel. I don’t camp but a wanted a sturdy that I could fully wash after each use. I have used many other coffee pots throughout my life. Usually, they are hard to clean. Yes, you can run vinegar through the unit to clean buildup but is that enough? With Hillbond’s 9 cup Percolator Coffee Pot, it’s so easy to clean. The four pieces come apart to clean. The pot itself can be cleaned inside and outside. It is a joy to own. Most important the fresh percolator coffee is smooth and great tasting!

Works well, wobbles like crazy
It makes coffee, works like a percolator is supposed to. The only issue is the design of the base. It wobbles quite violently when water first starts boiling, goes away after a few minutes. Not an issue if you are using a campfire; more of an issue on a hard flat surface like a stove top or grill grate. I'm returning mine for one with a base that doesn't wobble as much. But if this is going to only be used on campfires, it's good for the price.

Works pretty well on a solar parabolic cooker
I bought this to disinfect water by boiling, or sometimes to just make coffee, using a solar parabolic mirror stove. I pained the bottom with high heat flat black paint, the kind you use on barbecues, to absorb the heat quickly. No-fuel boiling of water on sunny days. It works quite well. It also works fine on a camp stove. I find I have to use more coffee, and wait longer, than I do with an electric coffeemaker. But this is the solution for when the power is out. It's simple, easy to use, and if you poke a small hole in a paper coffee filter you can use them in the basket, which gives a cleaner brew. The only caveat is the handle. I wish it stood out a bit further from the pot. On a solar cooker the hot spot you cook with tends to be a few inches across, and it moves as the sun moves, so it's not hard to have the handle get caught in the beam. It rapidly starts smoking if it overheats. Something to keep an eye on. It's less of a problem on a camp stove but I can see it being an issue on campfire coals.

Great Value for Price.
Very Impressed! I live off Grid in my Camper and a percolator is the way to Go. Makes a great cup of Full Flavor Coffee. The Handle is Top Notch Hardwood and Stainless that does not transfer heat ( no need for and oven mitt.) I had a percolator from Walmart before, and this is strides above that for less.
