Hi KelleyAnn1018. Yes, all of the Storkcraft Brookside Dresser drawers are made with durable, steel hardware and are fastened with German cam locks. Safety stops also keep the drawers secure and in place to prevent them from falling on small children.

Hello Joshika, Thank you for your question. The back of the dresser and bottom of the drawers are made of composite wood, and everything else is made out of solid pine. I hope this helps.
