Why did you pick this product vs others?: Did a bunch of research and I had high hopes for this carrier. It was Ok for my baby until he was about three weeks old. Up until that point I was folding it as indicated for the under 23" babies. However, around three weeks old when using that mode the carrier no longer provided the correct head support, barely coming up to his shoulder. He wasn't 23 inches yet but was clearly too tall for this mode, but if I switched it to the over 23" mode, the leg support was way too wide. Maybe I happen to have a baby with a long torso and shorter legs, but it was frustrating. Also, I do not like the straps. They were designed to fan out over the shoulder but they don't stay on the shoulder unless I don't move. I bought this to wear when out walking the dog, so moving, lifting my arm with the leash, etc is necessary. It can be worn with the straps vertical (not fanned out over the shoulder), but that doesn't leave much room for baby's face when worn that way. AND, I don't know why the design is such that when you tighten the length of the shoulder straps it also tightens across the body of the baby. Seems like the support/position of the baby should be a separate adjustment from the length of the straps. Long story short, this carrier doesn't work for me. Maybe when baby is older it will be better. but he's seven weeks today and it still just doesn't ever feel like he's in it comfortably and in a healthy position.

Worth the price! Not the most affordable but also not too expensive. I was able to start using it after my c-section scar started healing. Around 1 month post op. It’s easy to wash and recommend to just let it air dry. My baby seems comfortable in it

Material is soft and comfortable however it is really hard to get baby in the right position. There is not enough room in the seat for his butt to go lower than his knees creating the “M” shape that babies should have. Also where the straps buckle in pulls against his back so his back can’t arch slightly forward. Lastly the straps don’t stay tight and loosen in the first 10-15mins of wearing him. For context, I have 2 other carriers that my husband and I use for outings outside the house but I bought this one looking for a softer and comfier option around the house to keep my baby off of his back. I would not order this one again.

I love that this has the flexibility and comfort of a wrap, but also has structure. I am baby wrap illiterate - I’ve tried so many and never felt confident in my wrapping skills regardless of the number of tutorials I watched. Then when it comes to the more structured carriers, I always needed someone else's help to fully clip in. I didn’t understand how people could clip themselves into some of these, but again - could just be me. Enter the Ergobaby Embrace! I have a toddler and a velcro baby, so I was in desperate need of a baby carrier that I could easily (and quickly) put on and be confident in baby’s positioning and that baby was safe and secure in. This is it!!! Also love the mesh material for us southerners where it’s hot for majority of the year! I baby-wear my 7 week old for at least 2 naps per day while chasing my toddler. Wish I had this with my first baby, but so happy I have it now! The only con is that it does loosen up on its own overtime, so I have to keep re-tightening throughout wearing to keep baby in correct positioning, but that is easy enough to do, so not a deal breaker for me!
