I bought it for my outdoor lights and it is an excellent product. Was easy to install and is easy to operate. Am glad for the remote device, which I keep on the porch, but also use the actual device when I am in proximity to it. Very easy to use without instructions. This was a good purchase and I recommend it.

This timer switch works; plain and simple. It is sturdy, well designed, reliable and has two sockets for running more than one device at a time. I have had two of these running outside for over a year now, in Southwestern US heat and cold with no issues. It goes on automatically at dusk, and can be set to stay on until dawn, or go off in 2,4, 6, or 8 hours after it goes on. The remotes can control all functions from up to about 100 feet away, and their battery life seems good: after over a year, I have yet to change the batteries.. One minor caveat: if you use more than one of these, be sure to get different channels so the remotes don't interfere with each other. I'm not sure how many different channels there are, but I do know there are several, so check before you purchase these.

I assembled a Corsi Cube air filter for my wood shop and wanted to be able to turn it on or off remotely. This unit does just that. It is designed to be activated by darkness to turn on outdoor lights, etc., but put a piece of electrical tape over the light sensor and it works all the time with the on/off switch on the key fob. Even better, it has a timer function so I can leave it running for 2-4 hours to clean the air after I leave the shop. You can also use it to turn the shop vac on or off remotely. Lowest price solution I could find for these two functions and it works great.

This thing is great. It is reliable and the remote is surprisingly useful. You don't know you need it but you need it.

Works well but has limited lifespan. 2 of 4 units purchased failed in 1.5 to 2 years. Used outdoors in Phoenix Arizona area with multiple summer days reaching high temperatures above 110 F. 1 of 2 failed units was under a covered patio with no rain exposure. Still worth buying if you consider it a disposable, low cost item.

I bought this for my screened in porch to turn on and off lights. It works as I would expect and the remote control makes it easy to turn on and off the lights I have it hooked up to.
