A beautiful and functional ornament for the kitchen. This is a classic and well constructed piece with good aesthetics. It is large enough to hold about one stick of butter. It is used in conjunction with water in the base which help to preserve the butter - so make sure you don’t skip this step. We leave it on our counter and the butter has perfect softness and freshness, and we typically will keep it about one week on the counter without any issues.

C'est bien ce que j'attendais : la cloche à beurre comme chez mes grand'parents. Plus besoin de se battre avec, il est toujours prêt à se faire tartiner. Je mets un peu de sel dans l'eau et/ou une goutte d'huile essentielle bactéricide au choix (qu'importe, elles le sont toutes!). Comme ça, si j'oublie de changer l'eau, pas de problème d'hygiène.

Una maravilla si cocinas seguido. Cambio de agua frecuente y no esperes que la mantequilla dure meses. Es para comodidad, no para conservar la mantequilla. Así que checa que esté fresca.

We use it every day. Butter doesn't sour or yellow outside of the fridge. Would purchase this for friends as a present.
