Absolutely love it! So I purchased the ZINUS 10 Inch Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress, Queen. To start of I’d recommend this mattress to family, friends and now even strangers on the internet, hi 👋. To start of, I was in a pinch and needed to upgrade my bed from a full to a queen while also being on a budget which isn’t easy. I don’t have a big vehicle either nor the time to go and check them out in person so I was taking a leap of faith since I had to buy it prior to trying it. Anyways, I can’t pass up a good deal, especially In this economy 😅 so i decided to just buy it. And for just about $200 I was able to get a whole new bed ! Yay. As usual it was a quick delivery and the box was very sturdy so it made moving it easy. After carefully opening it and giving it a couple hours to “rise and set” it was ready for a test. It’s soo comfy! The sides don’t dip down and it a great size ! After opening it and taking off the plastic I gave it a good sniff and I don’t think it smelled. Plus once you put fresh clean bedding on you don’t even notice the smell of heaven. Ooh in terms of firmness and support, I’d say it’s “firm” but, it’s like a plush firm that’s like a pillow. It holds you but also lets you sink in just a tad so you’re comfortable. So good back support. TLDR, Great price, very comfy, doesnt smell, easy set up, true to size, and it has a nice support.

After 15 years, my memory foam mattress and its box spring were more than at the end of their lives and needed to be replaced. Buying a mattress is a very personal and expensive decision and with so many mattresses on the market of which most you can't see or tryout physically because they are sold exclusively online, it is very difficult to determine which one is right for you -- and if you have a sleeping partner, it makes it even more difficult to find one that will work for both. My husband has had both a hip replacement and lower back fusion surgeries and needless to say he is very suspicious of the mattress-in-a-box concept and was skeptical of all of the best options I found online. To complicate matters, his back situation makes it difficult for him to go to a local mattress store to try out options there, so it took us FOREVER to come to an agreement about what mattress to buy and where. I gave up after a month of off-and-on searching but then it happened -- a particularly sleepless night on our old mattress with extreme back pain in the morning. That was the final straw. That nite forced us to get it in gear and make a final decision. We decided to try Zinus for three reasons: 1) the reviews online overall were great; 2) the company sold a sturdy platform foundation we could purchase separately so no box spring was needed; and, 3) the price for the mattress was incredibly reasonable for the options and features included. I have to say that we were still pretty skeptical about ordering a mattress online but figured if it turned out to be a big disappointment, we weren't out that much cash (and neither of us could fathom how we'd ever get a big queen-sized mattress back into a small box for a return!) Our Zinus hybrid mattress took about a week to get here, but came as advertised. I will say that the outer box was really beat up and broken, but no damage to the packaging around the mattress itself, thank goodness! I set up the SmartBase foundation unit myself (really easy and fast) and managed to get the mattress onto the base with a little maneuvering (it was pretty heavy - you should have seen me struggling to get it up the stairs to the bedroom!) I unpacked it according to the directions and almost immediately it opened up to the 14" height. Since the initial "roll out" I have not seen/felt any dips or collapsed spots as another reviewer experienced. All of this is very good and well but the real test is the sleep test. I NEVER look forward to having a new mattress because it always takes me at least a week of sleepless nights to break in one. In fact, I had readied the guest bedroom in anticipation of having to transfer over in case I found myself tossing and turning a night or two while getting use to the new Zinus. You know all of those reviews you've read about people claiming to wake up from the best sleep they've ever had or with no back pain whatsoever? Well, that has never been my experience, at least not for the first week of the breaking-in stage. Until now. Wow. This bed is fantastic! I am a back sleeper generally. This mattress provides complete support of my lower back as well as all other areas. No transfer of motion, no squeaks, and very easy to change positions, unlike some memory foam mattresses where you sink in and good luck getting out of the indentation you've made. The first night and every night has been a sound sleep experience for me. And yes, for the first time in forever, I get up and out with no back pain. (Thought I would never say that!) My husband with all of his back issues has said that his sleep has improved and while he will likely never be pain free in the morning, this mattress has drastically improved his sleep experience. I was concerned about some of the reviews stating that this particular Zinus mattress model we had ordered was too firm. However, I'm finding it to be just the right amount of support and comfort. I will update my review if I'm finding that the mattress is not performing as expected, but so far I am satisfied completely with my purchase. This experience has not taken the anxiety out of purchasing a mattress online for me totally, but I feel fortunate this purchase worked out well.

I’ve only had this mattress for a short time, but so far I’m very impressed. Setup was extremely easy, though be aware the box is very heavy. That’s likely due to the hybrid design with metal spring coils, so plan accordingly when moving it. One big plus is that there was no toxic or chemical smell when opening it, which I’ve experienced with several 100% memory foam mattresses in the past. The firmness is exactly what I was looking for. I’d call it a true medium firmness, especially if you’re of average weight. It feels supportive without being too hard. Expansion was also faster than expected. It took about 12 hours to fully expand instead of the usual 24–48 hours. Even after just the first night, I can already tell it sleeps cooler than my old full memory foam mattress. It doesn’t feel hot or clammy, which is a huge improvement. So far, very happy with this purchase.

I've only slept on this mattress for two nights and I'm already in love with it. I have bad lower back pain from arthritis and degenerative disc disease so I need a fairly firm mattress to support my back. I originally purchased a Saatva mattress (for $1900!) but found it to feel a bit lumpy and it began to sink in the middle after only a few months. My sister has had this mattress for 2.5 years and still loves it so I figured I'd give it a shot. At first I was worried that it would be too soft, as the foam feels very cushy to my hand. As soon as I laid on it I knew I was wrong - it's firm enough to support my back but the foam is comfortable to sleep on. I don't get any pressure on my hips or shoulders when I lay down, but I also don't sink into the mattress. I woke up after the first night with barely any back pain, it felt like a miracle. I do recommend making sure you get the right support for the mattress - I added the Zinus slats on top of my box spring to be sure the foam hybrid is properly supported. I only kept the box spring to keep my mattress from being too low. Having said that, the mattress is THICK and I kind of struggle to get up on the bed with my full-sized box spring! If you want some height above your bedframe, you'd really only need to get one of those modern more thin box springs to add a few inches. A really solid surface for the mattress is the most important thing so the foam doesn't sag. I know some people have referenced the smell of a foam mattress - I opened the mattress and let it lay flat (without the plastic) for 2 days before I slept on it so that it could fully inflate and any odor could dissipate. I haven't noticed any smell since sleeping on it. I'll try to remember to update in a few months, but so far I am in love with this mattress and strongly recommend it, especially for anyone struggling with back pain. You can't beat the price and the quality.

Since 01/08/2026 I have been attempting to resolve a warranty claim directly with Zinus for a defective mattress that has developed a significant bulge on one side. Despite repeatedly providing all requested documentation--including proof of purchase, multiple photographs of the defect, measurements as instructed, and images of the manufacturing law tag--Zinus has continued to ask for the same materials multiple times and has repeatedly closed my case due to "no response," even after i notified them of medical surgery and temporary delay. I have complied with every request in good faith. The law tag has deteriorated over time, but the photos clearly show the mattress was manufactured by Zinus and is well within the ten-year warranty period. Unfortunately, Zinus has not moved the claim forward and has provided no resolution. Given the prolonged delays and lack of meaningful customer support from the manufacturer, I am asking Amazon to please intervene or advise on next steps to resolve this matter. I have been a long time Amazon customer and am hopeful this can be resolved fairly. Since this has taken so long and my husband and I both have bad backs, we have already order a replacement of a different mattress from you. I’ve had two of these mattresses and they’re HEAVENLY. I gave my old queen size to my sister after having it for 4 years and she has had it for 4 herself and we all love our mattresses 🤩🤩 They’re so comfy, not too firm, not too soft. The perfect mattress honestly. My parents plan to purchase their own once there goes out too!! Can’t say enough good things about it - sleep is so important, and having a good mattress truly makes it that more healing and comfortable.

A surprisingly comfortable mattress for the price. Came well packaged and tightly vacuum sealed. No weird smells. Took a few days to fully expand because of the cold weather, but otherwise no issues. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I bought this mattress for my first ever apartment and it was easy to set up. I got the 12 inch mattress so I recommend getting a fitted sheet that is big enough for its thickness/height. It's very very firm and supportive - no smell or anything. I think for me, it is TOO firm however. It is good quality though and for the price, I don't regret buying. Regarding heat, it doesn't seem to be too hot/cold for me - just right.
