Great quality, impressive details, AND will require full assembly
It takes a lot of assembling.. you’re basically building the entire house! But after I was done putting it together, there was definitely added specialness to the toy knowing you practically built it! Instructions were easy to follow and once you have the frame up, it goes pretty fast from there. The details of the house are so cool and the mini furniture it comes with are so cute! The added kitchen and living room lights were so much fun! My boys loved it. The garage fit there toy car perfectly. The house is VERY sturdy once built so they will enjoy this for years to come along with any other little visitors we have! My favorite part is the carrying handle up top making it easy to move if needed. Would definitely recommend!

Has features not found in other dollhouses
We love this dollhouse. We were between this dollhouse and the much higher rated all seasons one by Hape. The selling point for us was the garage and awning. I have two boys that play with this and both love cars and one is obsessed with our awning in real life so was excited that their play house included one. I had no issues with poor quality paint or poorly fitting pieces. My 3 and 4 year old can easily open and close the garage. The dollhouse is sturdy and easy to assemble. The only poor reviews I agree with is that the lights fall easily as do the stairs. Stronger magnets would be great but my sons love the lights and love removing and rearranging them or just playing with them so I prefer them falling easily vs being difficult to remove. The stairs I’ll admit need improvement. I’m considering gluing them. Not a dealbreaker for me though since my older son likes to remove those too and is very satisfied with how easy that is to do. Not many dollhouses had working lights, a garage, awning, and included furniture. I don’t regret this purchase at all and rarely leave reviews but there were so many negative reviews that I was almost scared to buy this. I’m glad I took the plunge because this dollhouse is a perfect fit for us. I’ll try to get a picture in daylight too and add. This one of it decorated for Christmas was all I found on my phone. It

Very cute
My kids love it! It’s the perfect doll house with a lot of amenities and keeps them busy playing for a long time. The light that turns on and the garage is a special feature not all doll houses have. It was easy to assemble, took a little time but had good instructions!

Great dollhouse set, but could use some improvement.
One of the better doll houses out there, but it could use some improvements! BASICS: This doll house is about 28" tall, 31 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" deep (the separate section with the swimming pool / driveway / sidewalk is 10 1/4" deep). This "separate" piece can slide under the doll house. The house is way too small for Barbies and American Girl dolls. The adult dolls that come with it are about 4 1/2" tall, the kids are 3 1/2" tall. I believe it is on a 1:12 scale. It is primarily made of wood, but has some plastic parts as well (stairs, windows, sliding doors, bathtub). I purchased it in December of 2017 for my almost 4 year-old. It seems fairly sturdy, but if you have really rough kids I would hesitate to buy this. I would purchase it again. SHIPPING: Both the shipping and product box were slightly damaged and I was concerned something might be broken, but everything inside was in perfect condition. ASSEMBLY: It has detailed instructions and it took my husband one hour to assemble it with a tiny bit of help from me (my primary job was to assemble the lights). We needed a medium sized phillips screwdriver, a small sized phillips screwdriver, and 3 AAA batteries (for the lights) to put this together. I had read in several other reviews of similar doll houses that advised to avoid fully tightening the screws until the ENTIRE dollhouse was assembled; once it is assembled you go back and really tighten them - we did this and everything turned out well (except for the garage door - more on that later). WHAT I LIKE: This is a great set for someone that doesn't already have a doll house. It isn't too girly, so I imagine both boys and girls would enjoy this set. All the important pieces are there: a family, bedroom furniture, dining furniture, kitchen furniture. The people are posable and the hands can hold things (kind of like lego or Playmobil hands) (Melissa and Doug dolls can't be posed or hold anything). I also like that it has a doorbell, lights, outdoor patio, swimming pool and a garage - things that a lot of doll houses don't have. I was almost ready to buy the Melissa and Doug Hi-Rise doll house, but I liked that this one had a few more features (doorbell and lights) and the furniture seemed a little more interactive (the stove and refrigerator doors open, the toilet seat opens, etc.). My three (almost four) year old is really enjoying this set. WHAT IS MISLEADING: The picture of this doll house shows that the kids bunkbed has "bedding" - it does not. The master bed does. The bathtub in the picture is wooden and "goes" with the look and feel of the rest of the furniture - it actually comes with a plastic rounded tub that doesn't seem to fit in (see photo). The garage door is not a light wood color - it is painted gray (it kind of looks like a metal garage door - see photo). It doesn't come with a TV or a car (but I knew this before I purchased it). In the Amazon description it says "not to mention a place for the furriest member of the family to sleep soundly" - I have no idea what they are referring to - unless you have your pets sleep outside on the balcony or in the front yard. It does come with a large orange rug and a small coffee table that are not pictured (see photo). WHAT I DON"T LIKE: The garage door is REALLY hard to open and close, ours has already gotten a little scratch from my husband trying to force it to slide open. I think we need to take some sand paper to it! I am encouraging my daughter to just leave it open all of the time. The lights are connected with magnets so you can easily take them on and off... but they fall off with the slightest touch! Hape needs to use stronger magnets on the lights. The stairs are barely attached (they don't really "snap" into anything), we may end up adding some velcro to the wall that they rest against so they don't fall down so easily. The "wall paper" was already starting to peel off a little when we assembled the house (see photo) - I pressed it back down, but I am worried that the minute a kid sees that it is lifting off they will be tempted to rip it off the wall. I also don't like how much detail is printed on the wallpaper (furniture, pictures, shelves), if you want to change rooms around or put furniture in different places it kind of looks funny - I like the doll houses that just have simple colorful walls and let the kids decide where rooms are and where furniture should be placed. NOTE ABOUT THE FURNITURE: I like the furniture that it comes with, it is interactive enough for my pre-schooler and seems like it will hold up for a long time. I do wish that it came with the "extra" pieces that you find when you buy the separate sets from Hape. For example, the bathroom set that you can buy separately comes with a little duck for the bathtub; the kitchen has mixer, towel, pots and pans; dining room has plates, utensils and glasses. I don't see a way to purchase these "extras" unless you buy the entire set. Most sets are around $20, so this could add up quickly just to acquire the extra pieces. Overall I like this house - but with just a few slight changes it would be the PERFECT doll house!

Over great value for the purchase. Study and durable
My 4 year old and two year absolutely enjoy this doll house! It is the perfect size where it is big enough to have them both play easily in the It own sections but not to big where it takes up a lot of real estate in their bed room. The only con for me are the light. I wish they would click/snap into the ceiling vs attaching by a magnet.... it easily falls off and I ended up not included it with the house.

Broken:(
I am so sad about this dollhouse! I bought it for my daughters for Christmas and it came broken. Hape toys are normally sturdy and adorable but this dollhouse came with broken pieces and all of the screws weren’t even in a bag they were just loose throughout the box. For over 150.00 this isn’t at all what I expected. It was at the top of my price range and now I’m stuck with a broken doll house that I’m not sure how to fix and bummed out little girls.

Substantial dollhouse!
This thing is large- -much larger than I figured. Measures 28" tall and 32" wide. Really well made and has lots of nice features. Our son couldn't wait to play with it. It does take a while to assemble so be warned.

Dud.
Um, yeah. It came sooner than expected which is great. The house was broken in one place (pic). I'm fixing that myself but for the money I paid it should have been intact upon receipt. The "instructions" are a joke. No words at all. The pictures use letters that I think are supposed to correspond to the pieces but 90% of them didn't have letters on them. So nothing is labelled, things fit pretty well but not exactly right. Hape did me wrong on this one I think. It's cute to look at. We'll see how it hold up to the twins on Christmas morning. UPDATE: Sure enough, Christmas morning and the garage door is broken. We made it an hour. They still like it without the door so it's not a total loss. After watching them play I doubt the awning will last long. The lights are cool when they're in place but they do drop off at the lightest touch. Not a total waste but I feel like, money spent was not worth it.
