Was cheaper than buying at the Halloween store. Didn't end up going to a Halloween party so now I just wear it around the house to impress my wife.

While it was not the best quality hat, it was as marketed. Also the comments by other purchasers were spot on. It served it purpose for me and completed my Airline Captain's uniform for a fundraising auction.

I'm not seeing the normal shipping rating system so I'll say it here. Amazon is shipping this in the flexible just basic non padded plastic bag. The hats visor is a thin plastic. So ours got creased. It's obvious because of how shiny the visor is and the crease is permanent. Now, I know this is a kids toy but my kid paid for this with her own money so I'd advise amazon to ship these in small boxes. Of course I know amazon does not care about the loss of $12.99 if it was returned so you know I suppose my review is pointless. Also, I didn't think the quality justified the price but I'm also not in the habit of inspecting children's (although this said adult) captains hats.

Hat itself: 4 stars. The cloth top and stitching are nice quality. Adjustable Velcro closure is a big plus! One star off because the brim is flimsy plastic - fine for a costume, just don't bend much. Still a great hat for the price. Shipping & handling: horrible, 1 star. I don't know if it was the seller A-Prime Sales or Amazon itself, but it arrived two days late and the brim was shattered. The box was too small with no padding. Tried to do a return but the Amazon instructions are a nightmare. Clicked "return items" and got "This item isn't eligible for return" - clicked "see return policy," then "online returns center" then "return items" and we're right back to "This item isn't eligible for return." So I didn't get it in time for the party, and now it's garbage. I'd still recommend the hat and may order a replacement, just from a different seller.

I liked that it was such an authentic looking replica. I used it in a skit and the boys wore white shirts and dark pants and they looked just great.

Fit was small and the product was cheaply made. Not something I would recommend.

The hats were great. Adjustable and lightweight, but the cheapest material either. Happy with the purchase.

the quality isn't really there, but as a gag gift or part of a one-time costume, it's alrght.

The hat arrived on time, but the front of the hat was attached badly, and the hat was very lopsided and unwearable, so I had to return it.

What can one xpect for the price. It is after all a costume portion. Aviator glasses will be required to give us the look
