I finally decided to try a CBN wheel when I needed to replace an old grinder. The wheel is great. I was able to sharpen a gouge in a fraction of the time that it took on the old grinder and did not need water to cool down the gouge. I think the gouges are sharper than ever.

Massive improvement over traditional grindong wheels. Yhese are balanced better than the grinder itself.

Runout is about .015, Mounting hub is the same height as the wheel face so no shims needed.
