Convenient and Functional at a Great Price
Works great. I have my laptop and desktop both connected to a single monitor with a single keyboard. Only minor issue is with my mouse - it's an Evoluent ergonomic mouse. The light on the mouse flickers when plugged into the switch port. This doesn't happen with my regular lighted mouse. Simple fix for me - I just switch the mouse back and forth. Still super convenient compared to constantly switching laptop and desktop plugs. Also, there's no lag or loss of function otherwise - keyboard works fine and the monitor is crystal clear.

This KVM is solid but I hope the company will redesign the box in the future for port placement. I have a 7 year old Trendnet TK-207 which was discontinued and the USB ports just recent stopped working last week. I prefer to use hardware that's built newer or that have recently undergone a revision in circuitry. This KVM worked without any flaws and was basically plug and play. A large sturdy silver button makes it easy to switch computers whenever you need to. The only downside to this box was where the ports are located. I hope both VGA ports would be located on the same side similar to the Trendnet box so there isn't wires all over the place like an octopus. Overall, I would recommend this KVM switch for operation and functionality.

2 Port KVM switch is the device to solve the multiple devices (Wrk/Hm) Home) using 1 KB and Mouse.
The product is very easy to use, I had no issues connecting two different type laptops (Dell - HP) on separate docking stations to a single keyboard and Mouse. Prior to the purchase I had to keep two of each on my desk. The docking stations are set to VGA and HRD using a shared monitor that supports both. For a few more dollars I could have easily upgraded from a 2 port to a 4 port. Switch if I needed one. The toggle switch works great, all the cabling was included. Took less then 10 minutes to get everything working.

Solid but won't switch to windows 7 with HD video
Nice little unit but for me, no joy. When I switch my shared monitor from tower PC running ubuntu to laptop on Win 7, screen hiccups, won't switch. Somehow there is a problem with this unit and windows 7 for DVI monitors (using VGA adapter). Same monitor is working via the switch on the ubuntu tower pc. I also have a Trendnet KVM for 2 ports and it works with that DVI monitor and the same win 7 laptop.

This 2 port model does not work with Windows 10
The ad is showing that this model is compatible with windows 10. However it is not. I bought this and connected windows 7 and windows 10. It recognized windows 7and the indicator light lit. But it would not transfer to windows 10 and the indicator would not light. After looking closely at the box it came in, I saw that it listed several windows that it worked with but Windows 10 was not listed on the box. I disconnected the switch and re connected windows 7. But windows 7 would not boot up. It was like windows 7 was now in "limbo". I reconnected the switch and pressed the switch until windows 7 re-appeared onto my monitor. I removed the switch but now windows 7 kept giving me an error message that it doesn't remember user's profile and it began to have weird problems. I restored windows 7 but that didn't fix the problem. I had to run the windows 7 disc. that took a few hours to complete. Then it needed to be updated to the time the last windows update was available. This took more hours. I contacted the seller, they said their technical department told them that this switch is compatible with windows 10. I sent the seller a copy of the box and a screenshot of their ad. They replied, informing me that, "so sorry, they no longer sell this model and it must have been shipped by mistake". I returned the switch. But had to spend several hours correcting the problem that the switch caused to my computer.

This switch box works great and has enabled me to use my monitor with my tower and laptop. I really needed this because the company I am currently working for sent me a laptop to use and I needed to use my monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as my headphones and foot pedal to type medical reports. This box has several USB ports on it and I can now use my keyboard and mouse when I switch from laptop to my tower. I do not have to reconnect anything. The cords are long, so they reach without any problem. I could not find this at any store. I am so glad I found it on Amazon. I highly recommend this item.

Not long lasting
I am a heavy user. I switched many times a day and left both computers plugged in and on 5 days a week. This seems to be too much for the switch. After 2.5 months it stopped working intermittently. For my use this is a complete disaster as I need the ability to switch at all times. It's a cheap product that isn't at the top quality level.

Works perfectly so far. Switching is very fast, and the LED's to show switching are a nice touch. The only negative is the layout of the inputs and outputs. They are arranged on three sides of the case, so it takes quite a bit of counter space for the cables to reach out in three directions. That's not enough negative to knock a star off this review. Good quality cables and good build quality overall.
