I wish I found this product sooner. My vet recommended this to me for a long road trip with our very nervous dog. She used to shake so bad, whine to get out of the car every hour, pace, and just wouldn't settle down. I gave her one chew on the first day of our trip - absolutely NO shaking, NO whining, NO pacing, and she slept comfortably. She takes this chew no problem. I have used it at home when we have had contractors over that usually disturbs her. She had no reaction to them other than being pleasant and relaxed easily. I am astonished at the results and can't recommend it enough.

I have tried so many calming products for my dog, and this is the only one that made a real difference. Yes, it smells weird; kind of like dirt and vitamins - but my dog eats it with no problem. No need to hide it in treats. He is 22 to 25 lbs, and we give him one chew twice a day during fireworks season. He still shakes a little, but it is significantly less. It took him from full panic to just mildly nervous. He is calmer, a bit sleepy, and not panicky like before. I also put a sweater on him and a scarf over his ears, but I really think these chews made the biggest difference. Worth it.

REASON I BOUGHT THIS : Our cat has separation anxiety, and even when we are home she cries a lot for no apparent reason while roaming aimlessly around the house like cats in heat would, only she is spayed and shouldn't exhibit this behavior. My veterinarian recommended trying Vetriscience Composure chews before turning to heavy medication. ABOUT THE PRODUCT : After reading other reviews I chose this product over the one that is designed for cats only, because of the taste issues with the LATTER mentioned by multiple owners (my cat is very picky about taste). The chews have nice smell and texture. My cat eats it as eagerly now as the first time (we are currently half way through the second bag). I only give her half a chew, so the bag last us a long time and is worth the price. For big dogs it might be a little too expensive of a solution. RESULTS: The chews did not do wonders and eliminate the problem completely, but they did have a strong calming effect on my cat, so her behavioral outbreaks significantly reduced in quantity and quality, and became tolerable for us (she used to drive me super crazy with nonstop crying and restlessness before we started giving her this treats). P.S. I like the fact that it's made of natural ingredients and I can use it long term without worrying about it causing health problems or an addiction for my cat like the antidepressants do.

I have a small pup that is 13 years old. She’s developed “sun downers” as she’s aged. She becomes anxious and pants and shakes sometimes in the evening for no apparent reason. I’ve tried many products, including pheromones, anxiety chews, herbal oils and shirts. I didn’t want to use drugs so I was in search of a product with natural ingredients. These chews are working well, they are not a magic bullet. I’ve been using this product for about 6 months and are pleased with the results. It doesn’t overly sedate her, but it does noticeably make her calmer. She likes the taste and thinks they are treats. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth every penny. I signed up for the monthly subscribe and save which helps with the cost. I recommend giving them a try if you have an anxious pup.

It is a semi-soft but mostly crumbly treat that I can tell is supposed to be more soft, but came dried out – and can’t be returned, so I’m out $38. Never again. I have three cats, and I offered it to each of them, and not one would eat it. They all picked it up and dropped it right out of their mouth. So then I tried to disguise it by putting it with a few other Temptations treats, and they each ate the Temptations, but left this one on the floor. It definitely looks much more like a dog treat than a cat treat. But I don’t have dogs, so I can’t speak to whether or not they would like it. If I had bought these treats at somewhere like PetSmart, I would have been able to return them. Lesson learned. I don’t recommend buying this product at all – or at least don’t buy it on Amazon or anywhere else that won’t allow a return.

This is a great help along with his meds to get him to sleep at night!

Vet recommended these and they work wonders for our husky! He was an anxious, easily frightened dog, then vestibular “ old dog vertigo” actually made it worse. He would jump at the slightest of noise. So fireworks, storms were a nightmare! These make him calm, but not lethargic. He needs assistance for stability and didn’t want him unable to help - he’s a big boy @ 90lbs. He’s def a different boy, but he’s happy and more calm, less jumpy so for him these work well. They are pricey, but worth it for our hairy beast!

got this for the big dog and a small and it works really great for anxiety

Tried this with both my dogs and saw absolutely no calming effects. They did have completely disgusting poopy butts for the few days we tried it out.
