We keep the Travel John in the car, and I keep one in my purse. Some public restrooms are so desperately nasty that even going near the toilet is stomach turning other restrooms only have a handicap toilet in order to save space and money which can be impossible to use if you are under 5 feet tall. The TravelJohn makes these icky situations bearable. It's also great for carsickness and really works exactly the way it's advertised.

We will probably use them this coming travel season. We liked the ones for liquid waste so well that we decided to try these also.

Used this on a roadtrip in case the littles needed to potty while driving where there were few restrooms. This was great to have and easy enough for a 7 year old to use. I love that I could just seal it all up and I didn’t have to touch anything myself. The TP is a nice accessory!

I like this kit because it is HEAVY plastic and has a built in zip lock. It also has toilet tissue and wet ones included--plus it folds down to about 4" x 4" and is about 3" thick--this makes it easy to store in vehicle or wherever. The only down side is the expense. You only get three bags with this kit. I suppose you could reuse it a few times--but that would be kind of gross. I will use cheap plastic bags and make my own kits in the future--but these are nice to have on hand.

Great for camping, especially for the females at night. Seals up without having to touch soiled area. Great at killing the odor. Just seal it up in the morning and dispose of.

This product has saved me and my spouse many times when it was too cold or rainy to make it to the campground facilities. After 5 minutes it hardens and just throw in the trash. How easy is that? Ladies..how many times have you needed to go and your husband says the next gas stations is 20 miles away. This is the answer and no one can see you!

We do some off road motorcycle trips. There is usually nothing but wide open spaces, no people, no toilets, etc. We also are aware and concerned about environment and leaving a place nicer than you found it, i.e. picking up trash others left. We do not like to be contributors of that. This is a bit bulky, take it out of the box and roll it up.

This handles waste really well! I was worried about how reliable the seal would be but it is very well made and I definitely had no reason to worry. I love the double folded bottom that allows the bag to just "fall in" to the seal bag. Very inventive.

I wish I had known about this product many years ago. It is the perfect solution for camping and wilderness expeditions.

This product is my top tip for anyone going caravanning or camping. Forget the unpleasant misery of driving about in a van that smells like a portaloo. Forget the horror of taking out a component of the caravan loo and walking to a smelly area to change it each day. Instead get these super strong bags. Line loo with bag under loo lid and use like a loo at home. You can also do this with a basic camping loo bucket. Also no flushing to wake up fellow campers. There is a magic lining that makes any waste disintegrate and in the morning, remove, zip and drop in bin. Hallelujah. Simple. Stress free.

Haven't had to use as yet - but if they are anything like their liquid waste partners then they will be brilliant. Great for journeys, camping etc where toilets are few and far between. We all get caught short at some time and this is great to have as a back-up so you don't have to worry. Nothing worse than being desperate 'to go' but not being able to find a toilet. Peace of mind :)

This is ideal for wild camping where the intention is to leave no trace and I bought these to use used on their own without the seat (which is easy). It is expensive and you could put together a similar product with heavy duty plastic, ziploc bags and absorbent gel. You could do that (and price is the only reason this isn't 5 stars) but the TrvelJohn is well-designed, robust and convenient. It's big enough for probably 2-3 uses and tough enough to carry out in a rucksack with little fear of spilling (although I would personally pack it on the outside - it is only a bought plastic bag after all!). The thick plastic and ability to effectively double bag the contents means that odour is basically nil. I would (and have) recommend(ed) this for bush crafters, wild campers and keeping in the glove box (or back pack) on long journeys.
