Fantastic cane sugar alternative with the same taste and less of a sugar spike. It's a must-have!
This is the only cane sugar substitute that I can use. It tastes the most like traditional sugar compared to every other substitute out there, but with a much healthier profile than cane sugar. I use it for cooking, baking, and in beverages wherever I'd like to reduce sugar content. For baking everything from cakes, muffins, or pies, etc, I use it at a 1:1 ratio in place of sugar and can't tell any difference in taste - so this earns an A+ in my kitchen for all of my baking needs. It's definitely a must-have for baking. A container lasts me a reasonable amount of time, and the price point makes it an economical alternative. It comes packaged and sealed sturdily, and I've never lost any product during shipping thanks to the durable plastic container. This is a staple in my kitchen and pantry.

Recommended, especially great in baking, not GMO also
Nice product, good container too. Lower glycemic index than regular sugar and not GMO. Good value for the money paid too, recommend it. In baking it works the same as regular sugar. If you are using it for a liquid, it doesn’t dissolve as well as sugar. It tastes sweet and we are happy with this product/brand. We like to sprinkle it on pumpkin with cinnamon as a side dish also. Thank you.

SWEET AND DELICIOUS - LEAVES NO AFTERTASTE
I quit using white sugar years ago. Almost all white sugars today are derrived from GMO beets and have a high glycemic index that can lead to obesity, sugar diabetes and many other diseases. BetterBody Organic Coconut Sugar is derrived from the flowers of coconut trees. It is non GMO and is just as sweet as white sugar with a lower glycemic index making it a healthier choice. And, unlike stevia BetterBody Foods Organic Coconut Sugar leaves no bitter after taste in your mouth. Additionally, unlike some sugar alternatives, (sugars such as alcohol sugars) it can be used with a one-to-one relational correspondence to white sugar so that there is no need to make mathematical adjustments in your favorite recipes requiring sweeteners. I have used coconut sugar in bread and cookie recipes, nutritional smoothies, on cereal and in many other recipes as well. The only drawback to using coconut sugar is that you cannot caramelize it as you can with white sugar. But, that's a small price to pay in exchange for a great tasting sweetener that is healthier and just as practical to use as white sugar. BetterBody Foods Organic Coconut Sugar comes in a food grade unbreakable airtight container and can be kept in long-term storage should there be future food shortages. Coconut sugar is my favorite sweetener and is a much healthier alternative to white sugar and sometimes even parallels with my alternate choice of raw, unfiltered honey. . I highly recommend this brand of coconut sugar because it doesn't cake up and harden in the jar as it does with the other brands that I have used. So, for all of these reasons I give BetterBody Foods Organic Coconut Sugar five super big happy-face stars.

Great for baking
This coconut sugar was filled to the top of the container, which I appreciated. It dissolves quickly and well, making it easy to use in recipes and drinks. The texture is a bit clumpy, but the clumps break apart easily without much effort. It smells great—natural and sweet—adding a lovely aroma when used in cooking or baking. Overall, a quality product with a consistent texture that’s convenient to work with.

Honestly, it’s better than white sugar!
I have never tasted a natural sugar such as this! It is so close to white sugar that most people can or would not be able to tell the difference and believe me I’ve tried them all, plus it’s LOW GLYCEMIC. It has a very low taste of caramel as advertised but I actually like it. It’s excellent in coffee. I will never use white sugar again, never. I just ordered the larger bag.

Excellent flavor and very fine grain
I was already preparing a batch of kombucha and was waiting for this to arrive, so it got opened immediately. Overall at this point I am pleased with the product. The flavor is incredible and very easy to dissolve. While it is granular, it is close to powdery. The color tends to be a bit mottled in the container, so I checked and sure enough, there are early indications that this will clump very quickly. The seal was intact or I would be returning it now, but I would not call that an impervious seal either. There was only a lid seal and no band on it to hold the lid in place so it wasn't tight either. The seal removed quite easily and it seems evident that there has been a leak of moisture at some point. Sugar is very hygroscopic and coconut sugar tends to be more that way. I think this will be fine as fast as I use it so I probably won't be able to make any long term assessment. But given that I had to shake it to break it up before I even opened it makes me think that this could turn into a block if not used quickly. However, I won't be taking chances given that it is summer and I will be transferring the packaging to pint canning jars and including a desiccant package in each to ensure a better shelf life. At this point I would buy again. Update: Every time I open the sealed container I have to break up chunks, and that's after putting it in a sealed mason jar. I've never had to do this with other coconut sugar unless it was quite old, and this is barely only a few weeks old. It's got good flavor and sweetness and I enjoy that very much. I can't complain about using it in practical applications, only about how it stores. I think the grain size is just a bit too small and it just compacts too easily. It's not that I wouldn't buy this again, but I think I'll try a different brand next time.
