Writing this as a verified purchaserThis book is one of four I recommend to all senior leaders looking to gain a business language insight into the scope of cyber.(the others being written by Gene Kim: Phoenix Project, Unicorn Project, and DevOps Handbook). The focus is on effective security (how do you know where to focus) and the book does not pretend to be an exhaustive in depth treatise on all things cyber. The value here is in making cyber understandable and in showing overlaps. If you like NIST 800:53 and the CSF, then this book will resonate well. If you need something to provide accessible framework to share with your board of directors and executive team, again, this book will resonate.I have had to develop several security architecture frameworks over the last few years and I have recently started leaning on the Cyber Defense Matrix materials out there on the web as well as the book. I find the CDM to be high enough level to support strategy and detailed enough to trigger the right thinking. It is a small book (about 150 pages) but packs a punch. Well done, Sounil! You knocked it out of the park with this one!
