It is a wooden box! The dimensions met my needs. I ordered it. I received a well-constructed box in black. Smooth, no rough edges. The quality of the finish is excellent for the price paid. One reviewer commented the lid has no restraint and falls backward. Not true. there is a ribbon placed to anchor the lid to the box. The icing on the cake would be the ribbon was black...then I realized the box is offered in a range of colours and off white works with them all.

This box is perfect! I'm using it to store a case of bottles of water. I needed to keep my dining room tidy and this did the trick. Well made. Great color!

Highly disappointed! Box was perfect size, but cheaply made and damaged in manufacturing. This box should cost about $20. No Felt on bottom. No felt on closing lid. Piece of nylon that keeps the lid open is held on by 1 staple on each end. Something you wouldn't consider buying if you saw the physical box. Just very unfinished look and feel. Ok, I own it - I'm picky when it comes to RED. This box is red, but an orange red. I've place two bottles of nail polish to reinforce my point. Thai Chili Red is on the left which is more orange in tone. The bottle on the right - Ferrari Red. I wanted the Ferrari Red and had to do a double take when I first opened the outer box and "orange" hits my eyeballs. I like orange, but not for the purpose I wanted for the RED box. I ordered the version with cut out hand grab. It's smooth, so no splinters to worry about. The overall quality of the box is as detailed. I also ordered in black and there are no complaints with the color or size. I am going to add something magnetic to keep it more secure. Love the size which will accommodate open letter size paper.

Fits all gun cleaning stuff i need in one handy well built box . Got this January 6th today is the 10th. Hinge came off. So I changed my mind don't buy.

Not squared (top didn't meet bottom evenly. Ended up using it as a crayon box.

Bought for my 15 month old granddaughter; of course the first thing she did was climb into it. Large enough for her to get in and sit down; Bottom held well; structure sturdy enough for her to sit on as well. Replaced ribbon with anti slam hinges.

I have bought two of these. I find them reasonably sturdy and well made. The price is good, too.
