Dolcetto Wafer Rolls Lemon, 12 OZ

These are a tasty crunchy treat. Not too sweet not too lemony, just right. We have a crunchy cookie exterior and they look really elegant so you could use them with company to make you look rich. I did not experience much cookie breakage. Maybe one or two so it was very good.

The wafer lemon rolls are delicious, light and just a little tart. Not so icky sweet. Yum

Very good lemon flavor. Most of them were broken, but not a big deal since I had no plans for them other than getting a lemon fix

Out of the supposed approximate 36 wafers, only 9 were intact. All the others were broken into 2 or more pieces and the bottom of the can was filled with crumbs. I would sugest the only good these are for is using these in a recipe calling for crumbled cookies. If you are hosting a get-to-gether and want to seeve these to guests, you might want to order from a different company or manufacturer. The box that this canister was packed in could have been the source of the damage as it was not filled or sufficiently padded with other filler to prevent movement of the items inside. The outside of the wafer cannister showed no perceptible damage. Show they were either damaged at the factory when the interior bag was placed into the tin cannister, or it was damaged in shipping. The flavor was good, but not what I had hoped as it was very heavy with lemon oil extract, far too much of it. The alcohol in the lemon extract used was overpowering. The cookie wafer was the right amount of slightly sweet, delicate, and crispy. Very little cream inside, which, in the case was a plus because of the lemon extract used. Not a product I will purchase again, even though the price was the best value of all the lemon wafer options. There is a no return/no refund policy on this item, so it was just money thrown away.

After the past year we’ve all had I decided to have a sort of coming out party. I had recently purchased a little can of these lemon wafers in the store and promised my family that they were going to love these on the dessert bar. I purchased two cans of these lemon wafers and thought that would be plenty. Arrived in a box that was too big for the product so I’m sure that they just bounced around during shipping. Needless to say I was only able to save four whole wafers from the first can and seven from the second. I went ahead and placed the wafers that were only broken once on a dish. The remainder were broken anywhere from one to four pieces each or were badly smashed and crumbly. I was very disappointed. The flavor was alright and that’s why I rated the three stars. If I was going to order just for myself and not for a party, I would eat the smaller pieces without complaint. It only matters what you’re purchasing them for.
