Give these a chance - they're fantastic!
I ordered a 3 pack of black, green and pink. I use earbuds on a daily basis for not only listening to music, but also to use for watching TV via Roku (the Private Listening feature on Enhanced Roku Remotes has a headphone jack). I wanted something that would be simple to use, yet maintain some kind of organization for my earbuds that often tangle when not in use.I will admit that upon arrival, I was disappointed in the fact there were no instructions on how to properly wind earbuds so that they will match the product photos. But after trying multiple times and studying the photos, I was able to discern that the end plug of the earbuds is to nestle in one of the notches on the sides. From there, you should be able to loosely, but firmly, wrap your earbuds cord around and every time I have done this, the headphones end up exactly in the right place as shown in the photo. It's disappointing there is not a printout or instructions included that would allow for someone to use right out of the box, instead of having to learn by trial and error as I did.I have 3 different sets of earbuds, which is why I ordered a 3 pack, and every single pair seems to line up precisely (despite different cord lengths and earbud types) - once I discovered the proper way to wind the cord. This product really does work - it's just poorly explained. I cannot comment to whether or not this method works for Apple earpods, as I do not own any. I do, however, own a pair of Sony, Bose, and Beats earbuds which all seem to line up properly, even with volume control or microphone buttons.I have read that some others have commented on that it does not constrict the wound earbuds tightly enough once wrapped around the holder and the button fastened. Again, after I discovered to properly wrap the cords, this does not seem to be an issue. The earbuds themselves move a bit freely but I would not want them to be smashed in the middle either. When wrapping the cord, I use loose but firm pressure when doing so. I do not allow the cord to have any slack when winding, but I also do not wind the cord incredibly tight either. There seems to definitely be a "sweet spot" and the lack of instructions do not help this, but I can say that once you get the hang of it, it's a fantastic way to keep earbuds neatly wrapped and tangle free. The actual holder itself is made of dense silicone, it seems very durable and I do not believe it would be easy to rip or tear. The button that fastens the strap is good quality, and does not appear to be loose or potentially fall off of the silicone holder. In my experience, its durable, well made, useful and good value for the price. I know it certainly has helped me become instantly more organized with earbud storage and I do highly recommend this product - it just takes a little while to get precise.- I will submit a series of photos when I have more time, showing the steps I've been using in order to wrap my earbuds as precisely as the product photos above.

These are smaller than I thought, also you CAN wrap your earbuds easily
Right up front, I see a lot of people complaining about trying to wrap their earbuds, I just want to point out the obvious answer - start with the mouthpiece. Just center that first instead of wrapping the whole cord and hoping it lines up. Super simple, literally works every time, no extra steps, not difficult, problem solved, I even included pictures with my AKGs (featuring a weirdly long mouthpiece). However, I'm not using these for earbuds, I'm using it for fairy lights. Those have a smaller, thinner cable which is made of exposed thin wire, meaning any kink/knot/tangle could be permanent if you don't have the patience to really carefully fix it. Very hard to untangle, and up til now I've used toilet paper rolls to wind them up because I could circle it around without overlapping. Unfortunately, that method doesn't hold up for a long time or in inclement weather, so, I needed something compact and more permanent.I figured these would be good because I could wrap the wire around relatively tightly and then secure it further by snapping the strap shut. Other similar products can only be wrapped, so at any time the wire could unwind and become tangled, which I definitely don't want. But, upon getting these in the mail, I realized the "square" part is only about two inches wide (less between the notches). So no matter what kind of cord you're using, you're really winding it just a little too tightly, but especially so in the case of headphones and data cables (which I assume is what most people are using these for).I feel like I'd be much happier with these if they were about an inch wider, maybe twice as thick, and made of a very slightly stiffer material. That way, the cords wouldn't be wrapped quite as tightly. Also, as they are now, they're very "floppy", which, I feel like if you were to stick these in a bag or pocket (rather than I hard case as I do with the fairy lights), they would become loose/unwrapped even despite the snap closure. All that said, I do think these are a much, much better way to store my fairy lights than the previous method and I'll definitely continue to use them. But if the company decided to make a bigger/thicker version of these, I'd be really into that. Maybe something like a short tube/donut with two snaps on opposite sides instead of just one. Then cables wouldn't be "folded" at a severe angle, and they'd be secured on two ends which would make it less likely for them to slip slightly and become unwound. Maybe a 8cm diameter or so, to make sure it can't damage any data cables. I think that would be perfect.
