Good product easy to install

I found similar kits at the local hardware store that sell from about 20 dollars more, so amazon prime ordering saved me cash. There are a few "features" I am not too happy with, so bear with me. First, the instructions are provided using milometers, and in the US, we customarily use the kings measure stupid I know, but it is what I know, and it is what all my tools are graduated in). Second, the markings on the frame that are to help size the installation for different door sizes are inaccurate (left side does not match right side), and the lines are about .1625" wide (that's 3/16"), so it would be total happenstance if you use these markings and end-up getting an installation where the trim is even from side to side. Third, the framing wood used will be used when I install trim and such around the door. The wood used in mine was some of the knottiest stuff I have seen in a long time - and I find that it is impossible to attach molding without having several nails locate right at a knot. Fourth, the kit is about 1/8" wider that the typical 2X4 framing, so there are also adjustments required when installing the wall covering (sheet rock, concrete board). Note - the door soft close mechanism works as advertised, so that is a nice feature.

I bought several of these frames for my new house. They work perfect. Now there were a couple of them that were missing a couple of parts. I contacted the company and they had the parts shipped to me within a few days. That makes this product and company first rate.

Bought 2 of these. One was received with damage on a supporting beam. Other than that was super happy with the quality and simplicity of install

I purchased 2 of these doors a little over a year ago. One soft close feature failed around a month after installing. The company replaced it which necessitates removing part of the molding to remove the door and replace. That one also failed along with the mechanism on the other door.

Installation went fine. Quality of most components is good. Soft-close Mechanism has been problematic. The "stops" included in this kit seem to only work sporadically. Occasionally, I've needed to remove the door and reset the mechanism to get it to work properly. At this stage I'm considering purchasing a better mechanism from another party.

My husband is a professional and said these were a great product, better than the typical brand he purchases via supply houses and bug box stores. Will use these for future installations.

Decent kit and sturdy product, soft close good- pulling the door open is a way toooo hard. - is there a way to loosen this; I can’t find out anything about this …… And you really need have better written instructions and/or add a website for decent install instruction - paper instruction are really not that good ( not descriptive enough, more picts, more detail needed - took me way to long to install given those poor directions
