I was expecting a not so pleasant flavor, but it reminds me of quality cocoa. I drink it with cream and sometimes a dallop of butter. I have no jitters or upset stomach with this like coffee gives me. Delicious, and feels like it's doing something good.

Do not taste the grit that everyone is complaining about. I put it in my morning coffee so I can't tell the difference. Just started using it so I can't comment on the affects to my body yet, but after the first bag I will come back and make another review. The price point if this works for my body is great, hope they don't change prices to much other than what is necessary for inflation. Also hoping this works for my gut issues I have been suffering, OIF Veteran so I am not sure if some of these problems are just lingering issues or not. Any how, I will be back in a month to let everyone know how this has worked out for me. 29 June 2018: Updating my review on this, went through my first bag and mistakenly forgot to order before it ran out. Spent 4-5 days without it in the morning and I can tell you that I felt a major difference on my overall focus, inflammation, and energy when I was off it. When I'm taking it, my inflammation is down, my focus is up, my energy is up and surprisingly my mood is up as well. I am very excited about this product, it works, it's simple and cost effective and it has no side effects. Such a great product and supplement to keep you off medication and living a more healthy natural life style.

This is my first try with Freshcap and I was shocked at the size of the bag when it arrived, much smaller than anticipated. The package states to use the “scoop” but there isn’t one in the bag and nothing that gives you a measurement to use, so I guessed on the amount. I’m pretty sure I won’t get the 15 servings it states is on the bag. With all that said it tastes great! Kinda mocha tasting and I’m not a real coffee drinker( a little coffee with my milk and creamer LOL) I love the 6 mushroom blend, the way it mixes and gets frothy even if I don’t use the frother mixer. No residue left in the bottom. I’ll order again most likely.

This is my new favorite “healthy” thing! I usually drink it in the evening because I add some 15ml heavy cream and 2 pyure sweetener packets with a splash of vanilla extract and it reminds me of a mocha. So good. I don’t drink it daily like I should so I can’t really praise any benefits from it but I do feel I have more energy the next day and better focus.

I ordered the 15 cup size of this mushroom coffee to compare it to the K-cup mushroom coffee I’ve been drinking the past few months. Although I like the brand I have, it was still causing occasional jitters and does not list how much caffeine it contains. I chose this brand because it contained more mushroom supplements than my current coffee, and listed the amount of caffeine. The coffee reviews said it did not cause jitters. Also, it had a much higher overall rating than other mushroom coffee brands. What I failed to notice is the reviews of this product are intermixed with reviews of multiple other products sold by this company. I later realized most of the positive reviews were for a supplement pill, not the coffee. First buyer beware. I also did not see the size of the 15 cup bag. It is incredibly small. A total of 1.85 ounces. It equates to fifteen 6 ounce cups of coffee. Not a very good value for the price, but I chalked that up to my lack of attention. Unfortunately, I opened the bag to make a cup of coffee when it arrived. I otherwise would have returned it. I flipped it over to read the directions- two scoops (3.5 grams) mixed with 6-8 ounces of boiling water. I reached inside the bag to find the scoop. No scoop provided. I re-read the directions to see if they provided some measurement of the “scoop”. Is it a teaspoon? Tablespoon? No clue was revealed. I jumped onto my phone and spent the next 10 minutes on a baking measurement calculator. I calculated that the powdered coffee was about the consistency of flour, and based the conversion of 3.5 grams upon that. A teaspoon equaled about 4.2 grams. Given that I desperately wanted coffee and was 15 minutes into this impromptu science experiment, I called it good enough. I measured two teaspoons into a mug and boiled 12 ounces of water. As I continued looking at the back of the bag while waiting for my electric kettle to boil, I noticed a child safety warning to keep the product out of reach of children. Although this makes sense with caffeine, I couldn’t recall seeing similar warnings on caffeinated products. I subsequently saw the California label underneath (see photo) stating that this product may contain hazardous chemicals and carcinogens including lead! 😱 (After doing some research, I learned that lead is an ingredient found in instant coffee that “may be” safe in trace amounts. I’m personally not comfortable with “may be”.) I almost didn’t make the coffee after reading this, but I decided to try it with the knowledge I would likely end up throwing it out. The taste was subpar compared to the brewed mushroom coffee I’ve been drinking. The instant coffee taste so overwhelming that I added a 3rd packet of sweetener to mute it. Not good quality. I finished most of it, except for the thick residue it left at the bottom. It did not make me gittery or result in a crash a few hours later. I guess it was effective in that regard. Lead aside, I probably would not purchase this item again due to the poor taste, inconvenient measuring, and high price point. The only positive was the lack of jitters and maybe the potential mushroom benefits. I can’t speak to that since I will not be drinking this again. However, in my personal opinion? A food product with a warning stating it contains hazardous chemicals including lead negates other potential positive health benefits. I am disappointed these warning labels were not listed on Amazon before I decided on this purchase. I wrote this review because it’s what I would have liked to have known prior to purchasing. My hope is to help other consumers make an educated purchase decision.

I have only tried it for the first time, so I don't know if there is any side effects and whether I will lose weight. I will comment on the taste for now and may come back for an update later. I now see why they call it coffee, since it tastes quite like coffee. Since I don't ever drink black coffee, I added a half tea spoon of honey and a little milk. It tastes quite good! I like the flavor and texture.
