Pros: ・Simple and versatile for many costume ideas.・Fair quality for its price if worn for aesthetic / costume purposes. ・Hood is a good shape that frames your face they way it looks in movies, without obstructing vision / being unweildy / being annoying like some poorly-designed hoods are. Folds back nice and flat when down. ・Thin enough to be layered on or below other costume components without making you hot, but still thick enough to have some weight of its own and cover you alright. ・Roomy and long enough to cover you head-to-toe on top of other costume pieces. (Order your actual size; it's plenty big without you getting a size larger.) ・Blank slate, low-stakes starter piece, perfect for guilt-free customization and alteration. Neutrals: ・Sleeves are mega spacious. Don't really stay when rolled up to elbows, but the fabric is thin enough where it's not too annoying either way. ・Generally large size. Order the size you think you are; don't order a size above. It's sized to fit comfortably over other clothing. I'm an M and I ordered an L; it touches the ground and hangs loose on my shoulders; would order an M next time. Cons: ・Just a costume piece. Not for practical use. ・(design gripe) The tie in front is a simple ribbon tie. Closes edge-to-edge without overlap of the two sides, giving it a cheap costume look; not a cozy-traveller look. Even if the basic ties were placed further back toward the collar-bone area, it'd get a better close and immediately look a lot classier. I recommend just cutting the ties and customizing. ・Cheap, rough-feeling fabric on skin. Would not wear naked for extended duration. ・ Not weather proof. Fabric sits neutral-cool, not warm. ・Made in China. Got it for Hallowe'en usage but also because I want a cloak to wear recreationally/around the house/to embarass my friends. For a costume, I like it. But the fabric is basic with that polyester, rough-in-the-fingers feeling. Medium-thin weave on the fabric, partially see-through when held against a light but perfectly fine for wearing. Not warm or wind-proof at all. For people who unironically want a cloak to wear to the corner store on a chilly day, look elsewhere. As a costume/prank garb though, I got my money's worth. Would recommend to someone who wants a quick starting-point in their costume. For people more invested in quality cloaks, I would point them elsewhere. Overall satisfied for what it is.

I bought the adult large and I'm glad I did. My husband is 5'6" and I'm 5'4" and this goes to not quite ankle length so if you are taller this will *not* go to the ground. My husband wears typically men's small shirts and 31 waist pants and the large was roomy enough to look good but was definitely not overly voluminous. I'd say if you want this to not look tight, too small and arms too short, choose a few sizes bigger than your typical size. The smaller sizes could be good for teens or smaller sized women. I typically wear women's size 10-12 and I wouldn't go smaller than the large. I washed it and the fold lines did not come out, but it handled hot steam fine and that took the folds out great and it looked good. It's a nice thick material and it's a versatile style, good for a witch cape, grim reaper, even a judge, so I'll be keeping it for a lot of years I think. Good buy. I might buy another so we each have one.

To use it for a costume it should a little roughed up. It didn't look raggedy like what you might expect if you're dressing up as the grim Reaper. It's black so you can't be a monk. Needs to be more realistic and not so clean cut.

Perfect fit

This hooded robe is great for the money, and is well made considering what it is made for. I am 5'11", normal build, and the Large size was a bit too small. My wife appropriated the robe, and I ordered an XLarge for myself. A fun Halloween item.

The product is as described. It is made of a reasonably thick and tightly woven 100% polyester fabric, such that you cannot see through it, but it is very light and easy to wear. It seems very true to the size chart given (I ordered a Large for 5'9" and ~200lbs. The length is near perfect; close to the floor, but not sweeping it. It is true that the only fastener for the front is a drawstring at the neck. I will wear a black shirt and black pants under the robe, so front closing for me is not an issue. Of course...Made in China. Very pleased with the look and quality of the product. Very fast product fulfillment service and fast shipping as well.
