Well made
Local Lowe’s had no trowels this size. Some things you can’t beat Amazon for.

Good blade, tougher to clean
I'm not an experienced tile layer or anything. I've actually been using this as a stopgap for skimcoating a wall with joint compound, while I continue prep for my tile job. Think I might also pick up a 1/4 x 3/8 trowel to test some options for my 16x4 marble floor tiles. In any event, the blade seems fine. Rigid notches that don't bend easily. Just enough flex, though, on the straight edge for thin skimming. Flat along the whole length, making it easy to swipe clean with a knife in my other hand. The handle grip is comfortable to hold, but the only complaint I have is the exposed nut holding the grip onto the shank. It's not a tight seal there, so when I made the mistake of dunking the whole thing in my water bucket until I could clean it, I had to wait for a lot of water to drip out of the handle when I picked it back up. That could presumably lead to corrosion and eventual failure. I have not yet tried tightening that nut myself; I just won't get it wet next time. So, don't submerge the whole grip, and you should be fine using this for large format tile. 👍🏼
