Reef Safe Sunscreen SPF50 - Hawaii 104 Reef Act Compliant - Mineral Sunscreen Non-Nano Zinc Oxide - Vegan, (5.8 Oz (Pack of 2))

Mineral based and reef safe brand that I decided to test out. Some of the reason for the choice was why I doubt that the brand name is actually associated with the same concepts as Thrive cooking oil (which is algae based), it has at least a similar caring for the environment public stance.I was also looking for a sunscreen that does blend in well and doesn't leave one with the white wash effect that one can end up with on zinc dependent types. This one really delivers, plus mild pleasant scent, no greasy feel on my hands during application or face and body once applied. Another plus was that having lifelong allergies (eczema/atopic dermatitis) that I had no problems or reactions to it.

This is a great sunblock! It's easily applied and absorbs into the skin very well, unlike some of the other mineral based brands. I bought it because of the fact that it's reef safe for my trip to the Galapagos Islands but will continue to purchase it going forward. I was out in the sun and in the water constantly during my trip and did not burn once. I really love this sunblock!

This stuff lives up to the hype! It’s works and a little goes a long way so don’t let the price deter you. My only negative would be that bugs are attracted to it ( gnats especially!). It also lasts longer in water than ANY of my “sport” sunscreens. When it starts to ball up from water you literally just rub it back in and it continues to work. I wore it to Havasupai and felt good about swimming with it on not damaging the environment I was swimming in!

This worked great on my trip to Key West where the UV index was 11. Just applied once each day and no burns. It is a bit greasy- only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars. I do recommend if you need a great sunscreen that is reef safe though!

A reef safe mineral sunscreen with no white cast. Moisturizing without being greasy. Feels and looks great on. I work at the beach and the coverage is so good I needed to use some self tanner to get my summer glow😆

The only compliant I have about this product is that I wish it came in an aerosolized can. With that being said I think it works great. I enjoy knowing I am applying a product that is not harmful to my skin. It applies and spreads nicely with great coverage.

I very much like the product. While I might have looked a little bit paler than normal, it did blend in and did not leave a white residue. My family and I were very pleasantly surprised and used it quite often on our vacation.

This is a good sunscreen with a pleasant, light citrus scent. It blends in pretty well. Since I have some allergies and a sensitivity to fragrances, this sunscreen is a great find.
