Stable and works extremely well
My tank that I'm currently cycling was hitting 90° where I live in Jamaica. I originally wanted a betta fish to inhabit my 5 gallon fish tank, but I knew it would not survive in such high temperature. I started searching and searching for something within my budget (since i had more to get for my fish tank) and came across this. I bought the dual fan version since i wanted the most i could get out of it. I would've gotten the triple version but i would not have the space for it. My hopes were hanging by a thread but this thing surprised me. The first night i tested it out, the temperature went from 90.5° to 81.5°. It was just enough to keep the water cool and I am grateful. During the days when it's extremely hot (summer in Jamaica), it obviously gets a bit warmer, but it's on the bridge between 82° and a little over 83°. I think my future betta will be able to live with the slight higher temperature (fingers crossed). I just know it's definitely an improvement compared to 90° up. Btw, it's a fan so you will hear it. I use mine on the higher speed, yet it's not too loud but it's not silent. I use a fan for myself regularly so the sound of this fan is overpowered which means it doesn't bother me. For other people who are sensitive to sound though, it's up to you if you can put up with it for the better of you aquatic pets.

It works great! It won’t fit a rimmed aquarium
I was pretty skeptical about these little fans being able to cool a tank for an axolotl but they totally work! I have 10 gallon and 40 gallon tanks set up with the 2 fan option. The fan on the 10 gallon can achieve almost 9 degrees cooler than room temperature and 5 degrees cooler on the 40 gallon. I was really impressed that it still worked on a much larger tank! And I am using the lower setting on the fan. The humidity currently is 50% (inside) and my home is around 70 degrees. There is a good amount of evaporation so topping off the tanks with water daily or every other day is a must in my conditions. I have only had these for a couple weeks so I don’t know yet how they hold up. Given the price if they work for a year before they break I won’t be upset. As many others have mentioned, they won’t fit your rimmed aquarium. But you could carefully remove part of the rim (watch YouTube how to) or devise a way to rest it safely over the water. It would be great if one of these fan vendors read that these don’t fit rimmed tanks and adjusted the design- it’s only off by a tiny amount.

Only fits onto raw glass
This fan seems quiet and helps move the air across my water surface to keep it a few degrees cooler. I wish they made it to fit a tank with a rim as MOST aquariums have that and it's just teetering on the edge balancing in a most precarious situation! It has fallen into the water a couple of times but continued to work and didn't cause a situation. I hope they will consider this issue in their design. Many people have complained of this one issue.

Saving us from this Arizona heat!
It does bring the water temp down about 4-5 degrees. Can’t complain. I have it on a 40 gallon tank and then a different brand of separated ones on my other tanks. This one works pretty good and I like that it has two different speed settings.

Each fan is adjustable, short cord, only fits slim edge tanks
Bought this to help cool my axolotl tank. Each fan can be individually tilted but there is only about a 45 degree range of motion. The clearance to mount to the tank was too small as my tank has a thicker lip around the top edge for a tank hood. I ordered the 4 fan model. I can set 2 fans flat and 2 at a different angle why laying on the grate I have on top of the tank. I wish it would have mounted to the tank so I could keep it elevated away from the grate. The fan noise is not too bad on low. The cord is a bit short and had to stretch to reach the outlet that the tank is next to whereas the water filter cord still had about an extra foot for a drip loop.

Lasted barely 2 days.
Recieved on the 3rd plugged it in worked great, today is the 5th and it quit working a few minutes ago so it barley lasted 2 days also it does not fit on a rimmed tank.

Perfect for a 30-gallon
This fan is great for a 30-gallon tank. It can be a little loud on high, but I use the low setting anyway, so that’s not a problem. This is the second one of these fans I’ve bought. My first one lasted four years, which was impressive, especially at this price. I was skeptical when I read about the fan method for cooling down a reef tank. It seemed too simple, and I didn’t think it would work. But I decided to try it before buying a chiller, especially since it was so cheap and easy to implement. I’m so glad I did! This is definitely the best solution for a 30-gallon reef tank. I’m not sure if it would be as effective on a larger tank, but for a 30-gallon, it’s perfect.
