Great picture allows you to see directly in front of bumper. My complaint is night time visibility. When you approach other cars with lights you see halo effect

Installation was pretty simple, using the instructions from Z Automotive's website and referencing related videos on YouTube. I wanted this camera only for better front visibility when parking, as I've come way too close to bumping into cars; this camera definitely helps with that. This is my first Jeep, and the front bumper sticking out has taken some getting used to. The SD video quality is fine; of course not as sharp as the HD backup cam. This is a limitation of the radio/nav screen input. Between this camera and the Tazer mini (needed to activate the "cargo camera" option), I dropped about about $500. Although install was straight forward, it didn't work correctly until the next day. I really have no idea what changed overnight, but right after install the screen icons were all moved around and neither the backup nor cargo cam icons showed up (I was thinking maybe I used the wrong pin locations for the screen input, and even emailed Z Automotive for help that night). I did nothing further, let it sit overnight, checked the next morning and everything worked great...no idea what "changed" overnight. I came across similar comments online. Getting the camera level took a bunch of adjusting, but was much easier once I realized there's a small access hole in the bottom of the grill bracket (Gladiator only bracket) you can use to spin the camera in either direction. Also, before I actually stuck the camera in the grill bracket I turned it on and found what was level then put a small mark on the front/top of the camera. I installed this about eight inches down from the top of the grill (see my pic) since the front bumper edge is my main focus. For trail use, I'm sure using the top hole would make more sense. Finally, I moved my screen icons around so I now have both camera icons in the bottom “tray”; makes using either one a snap. One other note…leaving the Tazer plugged in at all times will allow you to turn on, and leave on, either camera regardless of speed, as opposed to the Jeep default of turning off in something like 5 seconds when moving over a certain speed; can be handy in tight parking spaces.

I installed the JT Front Camera today. The instructions covered installation pretty good. But I did find it very helpful to watch some of the YouTube videos that show the installation steps. The camera quality is decent- definitely not as good as the factory rear camera but it is good enough to do what it is intended to do. Enabling the cargo camera was straightforward and easy using the Z Automotive Tazer mini.

The only problem is that it's hard to tighten it so it doesn't rotate from the vibrations caused by driving. Other than that, the screen is clear and easy to hookup.
