No more throwing up!
Our 4 year old female housecat loves this. She will not eat the hairball chews that look like kibble. She likes the salmon flavor of the gel & licks it readily. It definitely effective for her with hairballs. For us it’s an easy way to help her with that and is easy to apply on her paw. We used to get this at a local feed store & then they stopped carrying the salmon flavor. We wanted to stick with something we knew she liked so found it here on Amazon. The size and price are worth it. It works since our cat enjoys it and it helps her to not throw up hairballs anymore. Thank you!

Good for Maintenance
Its active ingredients are psyllium and coconut oil instead of mineral oil like most products so I feel comfortable giving this to my long haired cats on a regular basis. They love the taste and will just lick it off my fingers. I rarely have to clean up hairball messes since using this product.

Highly recommended!
I like the vet worthy Hairball paw gel not only because my vet recommended it, but because my cat likes it. I don't even need to rub it on a paw. I simply squeeze out the recommended amount onto my finger and let him lick it off. He's a long haired cat who grooms a LOT, and although I probably don't brush him enough, I haven't had issues with hair balls. Highly recommend this product.

Creamy consistency that my cat seems to like and it improves the hairball problem
This hairball remedy seems to help my hairball susceptible four-year-old male cat. What I like best is that it is a smooth thick cream consistency, rather than a sticky molasses-like substance. I squirt it on my pointer finger and plop it on the top of his paw. He is a picky eater but immediately begins licking it completely off his paw. No gooey mess to get on the carpet or furniture and I do think it helps his hairball problem. It does need to be applied regularly, though. I try for twice a week.

Works!
My long haired girl loves this stuff! Except she wants to lick it off my finger not her paw haha?? This stuff helps tremendously with getting the hairballs under control - I give it to her 2 or 3x a week. Will buy again!

Do not use this product
None of my cats ever and I mean EVER would keep this on their paws to "lick" it off. More like shake if off all over the house no matter how deeply "embedded" into the fur for them to lick. Not one of then liked the flavor obviously. I don't see how it's good any way shape or form. A cat should not have alot of hairballs normally. If your cat is throwing up hairballs alot you should look it up for yourself about marketing for Cats.

Good
One cat eats it up like crazy. The other will eat it reluctantly. The reluctant cat is my longhair and he will only eat it from my finger. He HATES it when I wipe it on his paw--ruins his careful grooming I guess. Nice and thick consistency

Quality product
I’ve been using NutriVet for a long time, I have a cat for who hairball treatment is a necessity and he got burnt out on the NutriVet. I noticed a significant issue with consistency of the NutriVet product, both quality control and actual consistency. Also important for my cat is no chicken content, which is hard to find. So far this has been a great alternative, no issues with the cat refusing it (I mix in a soft treat) and I believe I’ve noticed an improvement in bowel movements. I appreciate the larger size but the price does seem a bit high.
