The SKINS A400 Series represents the pinnacle of performance compression technology. It all starts with proprietary fabrics. Powerful, warp knit constructed fabric offers exceptional compression control and durability, giving engineers the ability to maximize muscle stability and support while precisely controlling gradient compression levels to maximize blood flow enhancement. Perform longer and stronger with less fatigue during activity and recover faster when worn post activity. Adaptive HIEQ technology embedded in key fabric panels offers state-of-the-art climate control technology: cooler when it's hot, warmer when it's cool for optimal muscle performance. Each pair of tights is made from 5 different fabrics and 20+ panels for a precise, premium fit and the ultimate in targeted performance. Medically applicable, Elastomeric yarn, low denier memory 'MX' fabric around the knees on A400 tights provides consistent compression but also supports the body's natural movements without applying too much pressure over the knee cap. Additional features include 360 degree reflectivity utilizing advanced, premium glass bead technology for enhanced visibility in low light conditions. Bonded hems for increased comfort, and A-Seams for a flatter, stronger, chafe free seam. And of course UPF50+ UV protection. Comfortable, long lasting with verifiable performance Enhancing benefits. Perform stronger, longer with less fatigue and a quicker recovery. Performance compression: it's equipment, not clothing.

athletic-fit real-compression
after a good evening work out or a day long hunt I would sometime wake in the middle of the night with a leg cramp, the worst pain. a friend told me about compression fabrics to help the muscle to not cramp. it was like magic. skins are very comfortable to wear and to sleep in.they are a top of the line tight which uses more then one type of fabric to get the best compression in the targeted area. I think a doctor helped to design the model to be effective.the a-400 is for athletic figures and trim bodys . the sizes are true for athletic size and have a very beautiful design on the upper thighs. it is 2 pieces of fabric on the upper part of tight so you can not see through. I tried a different cheaper brand, but none fit like the a-400.well worth the price!!

effective but kind of weird looking imo
These are interesting. I feel that they do help performance and recovery. I feel self conscious in them though, like I am beyond naked, like people can see my insides lol.

Nice tights
I've had more than 5 runs with these tights so far. They are very breathable, wouldn't feel the sweat at all. But the supporting function for muscles is not that obvious for me. They are tighter than the tights I got from those "not so professional" brands though.

Waistbands are a waste of money!
5'3" and 115 # H frame (this refers to how we look from the bottom of the rib cage to the hip. An A frame would have a very narrow waist by comparison). I wear the XS-H, This is my 4th pair of Skins, my 2nd pair of the A400 Compression Long Tights. I just got them and have put them on for the very first time. The fit is generally as expected in terms of compression from hip to ankle. BUT what is it with these new waist bands??? I'm referring to the new waistbands on both the A400 and the RY400 (also recently bought). Why bother putting such poor quality waistbands on such otherwise great tights? On the RY400, after only wearing about 4 days, the waistband folded, scrunched, and self-pasted itself into an irregular cord shape within the casing and on the right hip! Today, my first day of wearing the new A400, the waistband, which is much wider than my older pair, is ROLLING over inside the casing and causing constriction! This is NOT a problem with the entire waistband folding and/or rolling, but with the elastic band inside the waistband casing. And it seems impossible to fix, since there is no way to unglue the elastic from itself. Does anyone else have this problem? Because if many of us do, we need to let the company know about a serious departure from the "comfort" and "quality" they think we are getting.

They are WONDERFUL for blood pressure but I wish the crotch was cotton. Feels a bit like you are wrapped in plastic in just the wrong spot. That said, buy them anyway because they will make you feel better.

Feels oh so good
I purchased these as an alternative to ugly medical compression hose. I am pleased with the way they make my legs feel while I'm wearing them. Much better for my ego too than the ugly medical hose!
