They stand behind their product and will work to make customers happy.
(Updated review:) I am changing my review to 5 stars as after correspondence with MaxpeedingRods and going through their checks they have stood up and done what’s right and stood behind their product by replacing our Generator. I believe that there was a fluke issue with the original one and it originally worked 100% only to later loose the electronic start function. I have no reason to believe that this is a systemic issue and think that it was just our luck of the draw to have that issue. The new generator works flawlessly. When a company like MaxpeedingRods stands behind their product we can tell that they are a company that we would like to continue to do business with and recommend their products to our family and friends. For full disclosure I paid for the first generator out of pocket full price and with the issue and going through their resolution they replaced it. Knowing this you can feel safe in spending money with them for an investment such as this. Thank you MaxpeedingRods! (Original review for reference:) I am going to say it’s a wonderful product with at this point questionable support. I am going through their support for the last week with limited effective responses. If this changes I will change my review to 5 stars but at this point the electric start has failed and they are sending me thru the same tests multiple times. When it arrived everything worked flawlessly and now only the electronic start functions do not work and I eagerly want a resolution but so far I’m just getting scripted responses from the app at first and now via email. If they help me resolve this it will truly be a quality generator however the support has to stand up and provide true assistance for this to happen. I believe they can if they are willing. (Final thoughts) as you can tell if you read everything they did stand behind their product and I once again commend them for it.

POOR AFTER SALE CUSTOMER SERVICE- GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY updated 10.14.2025 review
3500 watt pull start gasoline generator. Have used it for 150 hours and it starts every time. Max output is 2400 watts continuous which is expected because you lose 3% in engine output/generator output for every 1000 feet altitude gain and I live at 5600 feet and use this generator exclusively at 10,500 feet when camping in CO. Rotary knob for turning fuel and choke on (has off, run and choke detents) broke. Maxpeeding rods customer service told me to use a wrench to rotate the knob. I feel this is unacceptable. After I told them this was not a good option, they required me to send them a video to "determine what was broken." Anyway, I feel this is poor customer service. I previously owned two Champion generators and if I ever had an issue, they bent over backwards and send me repair parts no questions asked. I wish Maxpeeding rods customer service was half as good as Champions. Don't recommend, spend a little extra for better customer service should you need it. Update: 10.14.2025- Generator has 230 hours on it (I installed a hobbs meter when new). It now won't run consistently. Sometimes it starts and when it does, it often runs for several minutes and shuts off. Carburetor removed and cleaned (no issues or gunk in it), fuel lines replaced, spark plug replaced, air filter element removed and cleaned and problem still persists. THIS IS NOT A GENERATOR YOU USE FOR YEARS, IT IS BASICALLY GARBAGE. I suspect the electronic ignition has a defective component that fails when it heats up. BUY A CHAMPION if you want a reliable generator with amazing customer service after the sale.

Great value overall
The inverter-generator is pretty much as advertised. We have used in on Propane only, in order to keep the engine gunk-free. So far we have not tested at high altitude, but at 3,000 ft where we live, it operates very well. Highly recommend watching a few YouTube videos about the unit, to save time and to clarify operating and set-up instructions (for instance, it's important to connect the battery wires properly before starting it. We did everything as suggested and it started up the first time (push-button) on propane only. According to one video, if using propane, it's helpful to close the spark plug gap just a teeny bit. But getting the spark plug out with the tool that comes with the generator was not possible. It was a flimsy socket tool that stripped (the plug stayed fine). Went to the auto-parts store and purchased a spark plug removal extender socket for about $12. This on the end of my socket wrench worked perfectly -- plenty of leverage and a tight fit that made plug removal easy. The propane adaptor works great, and the generator ran our RV airconditoner (3,500 watt) perfectly. The ONLY thing that we noticed (so far) is that the noise level is not as quiet as advertised. It's not horrible, but it's not as quiet as 53-55 db. At 20 feet away, it's more like 63-65 db. Still very good, but more than advertised. Other than that, it's a great deal for the money -- portable, realt4ively quiet, good power output, versatile and not too heavy (53 lbs, plus it is on wheels). A this point, would highly recommend.

Seems very good
I put this to use almost as soon as I got it. Given that this is a Chinese company and product, the build quality seems pretty good. It runs decently quietly under 75% load. Quieter than my previous generator (a WEN, also an inverter generator). I like that the gas cap cover is chained to the unit, and the switches have protective covers as well. I’m dinging one star for the following - admittedly minor - issues: 1) No fuel gauge. It’s hard to tell how much fuel is in the tank because the screen in there hides the view. 2) The spark plug access is moderately difficult. The way the spark plug angle is in relation to the access hole, the case is in the way. It takes a fair amount of finagling to remove and replace it. As the unit arrived, the plug gap was out-of-spec according to manual. Supposed to be 0.8mm and it was closer to 0.5mm. 3) The oil access is rather difficult as well. Fortunately my unit came with a kind of screw-in funnel that I’ve never seen before. To dump the oil cleanly at all will require that same screw-in funnel. I think I’ll get another one for dumping and keep one clean for filling. If you don’t use that, it’s going to be quite a mess changing the oil. Given the rated wattage, this thing is tiny, and I appreciate that. It’s pretty heavy considering its small size. I’m hoping it’ll be reliable. Only time will tell.

AWESOME GENERATOR!!!
This is by far my favorite generator that I own (out of four). I use it to charge my solar home backup batteries when solar isn't cutting it. The app works well and the output THD is clean. It's a little louder than my generac iq3500, but the fact that it runs on propane more than compensates for that. I also like that I can pick it up and set it in the back of my truck and use it to power my welder anywhere I go. The build quality is great and is very efficient on propane. I get between 6 and 8 hours on a 20lb tank with moderate use. It's also great for camping when solar isn't enough to power my tent AC. I've also seen several people using them for RV's and they really like them. I also like the fact that they put a light on it. The display tells you all the info you need if you don't want to use the app. I usually don't push it past 2800 watts but it will surge to 3600 watts on propane if needed. I did swap out the spark plug it came with (torch) with an NGK plug. I haven't and don't plan on putting any gasoline in this generator, so I can't speak to it's performance on gas. Another perk to the design of this thing is the internal propane regulator, so I can use any propane hose that I want and not have to worry about an external regulator that other brands require that can break, be left behind, or misplaced. You still have to use a tank regulator, but not the big plastic/metal one that champion and predator come with. It also comes with a parallel kit if you want to combine two of these. I would definitely recommend this generator for any light duty single phase power needs.

The most powerful single phase 120V inverter generator available?
I am extremely impressed with this generator. I bought it for use with my 30A Travel Trailer in the hopes that it would run our AC while "off-grid". I love that it has a direct TT30A receptacle that doesn't require any adapters. Not only does it run our AC, but can do so effortlessly, even with the "Eco-throttle" engaged. It is very quiet. In practical use, I cannot tell it from the "red ones". I would need a dB meter to be able to tell you if there was an actual difference (I may borrow one and update this review). With it running outside, right next to the corner of our trailer, I can barely hear it running when I step inside, and if the AC kicks in, it actually makes it impossible to hear the genny at all, because the fan / compressor noise from the AC unit exceeds that of the genny humming outside. I had considered a 5500W 240V model that was twice as heavy (on wheels) and actually produces LESS 120V power "per leg" (To get max watts out of a 240V generator, you need to draw from both phases, so 2500W per side. So if you need a lot of 120V single-phase power, this is it! This little beast makes 3000 running watts, with 3500W surge. The red one I am referring to is 1800 running watts, 2200 surge. It costs over 1000 US, and is only 8 lbs lighter, weighing in at 47 lbs vs this one at 55 lbs. I plan to take good care of this little generator, and since I won't be using it commercially I expect it to last me for years. Yes, the red ones have (or at least used to...) an outstanding reliability record. I believe they are beginning to see some competition enter the market...

Already Paid for Itself
We bought this unit to run the AC on our travel trailer. Worked great for a week with light use, we packed it away for the season when we got home. Then last week happened. The Seattle area was hit with a 'Bomb Cyclone' that knocked out power to over 600,000 homes, with a power restoration ETA of "a few days". It was cold and I work from home, we were in a pickle. Out of desperation, we decided to see if our camping generator could help power our 3000 ft house. We were amazed to find out this generator could power our two fridges, lights, tv, computers, coffee pot, toaster, and even our gas furnace/fan. We had to stagger turning on the breakers so that the generator could get accustomed to the load (fridge compressor, etc.), but it ran like a champ. It powered our home for 5 days, with 15 hour days non-stop runs. I was able to work , we were fed, we were warm, we watched movies, and we weathered the storm. Can't speak more highly of this generator. Never skipped a beat. Tip 1: Replace the stock spark plug with a quality NGK plug. Tip 2: With unit off, perform two slow priming pulls of the starting cord. Turn unit on and pull normally. Starts easily for us following this procedure every time.
