For the price really great product. I don’t know if it was the soap or the brush that started off very smelly. That changed with use. I really enjoy shaving with this. Much better than foams or gels I’ve tried.

I got what I paid for. When I wanted to switch from cartridge to safety razor needed to buy razor, blades, brush, and bowl + shaving cream. The brush is crazy (too) soft but hey it works. The shaving cream produces what is basically thick soap suds as lather but hey it works. Maybe one day I'll invest in a better brush (they can get into the $70-200 range) and will get a more reputable brand of shaving cream. The small wooden bowl is decent.

Wanted the bowl, it ended up being too small. I thought the groves in the bowl would help with a good lather and I figured could make the small size work since my primary purpose was travel but it's just a little too small and even with a careful hand you end up making a mess of your cream. I'm not a brush conosour but this one's not worth it, again thought it may work for travel and I'll keep it for that but it doesn't have enough bristles and it keeps losing them in my shave cream which is annoying when they end up on your face. The soap is garbage, threw it right out. Great concept and price, if the bowl was a little larger and slightly deeper it'd be perfect. You'll be much happier with one of the $15-20 brushes that are highly rated on Amazon.

Nice looking kit. Smells good and leaves skin feeling soft and clean. Long lasting soap.

5 stars for the badger brush and soap. 1 star for the bowl. There is no cover and it’s too small to lather the soap.
