Amazing Readers!
This review is for the "ThinOptics unisex-adult Reading Glasses + Black Universal Pod Case | Black Frames, 2.00 Strength Readers Black Frames / Black Case, 44 mm". These ThinOptics reading glasses are amazing. They are extremely lightweight and clip to your nose quite comfortably, with a shape that allows you to see over the glasses if you need to look out to farther distances. The design of the glasses is such that they don't have a front or back, you can wear them with either side of the lenses facing your eyes. They come with a tough, thin case of hard plastic that they slide into securely, it seems that the edge of the thin frame around the lenses is slightly thicker than the lenses themselves so they do not get scratched up. The optical quality of these ThinOptics readers is exceptional. The lenses are at least as crisp and clear as any others I have tried, similar but perhaps slightly better than the readers at boutique optical shops. They clip to your nose via the springiness of the bridge, as can be seen in the product photos, and the nose pieces have a kind of abrasive, sand papery texture that gives them a good grip on the skin. You can adjust them to what position on your nose is most comfortable for you and how much pressure/security of a grip on your nose you want them to have. There is a bit of an art to finding the point of pressure that is the minimal grip while still being secure. I have quite sensitive skin and have done okay with them, they are comfortable, but I haven't worn them more than an hour or so at a time (usually much less), so I don't know if they would become irritating or not if you were using them for longer periods of time. I wish they gripped the skin with more of a sticky-rubbery surface rather than the abrasive surface, but it's possible that such a surface would simply be ineffective for many people. For my purposes they have been amazing. Even if someone didn't find these comfortable for longer use sessions they would still likely be extremely satisfactory as readers in a purse or pocket when out and about, as they are so small and do such an exceptional job. I've had them about a month and could hardly be more pleased with them. FIVE STARS

Yes they are thin, but also mighty
Great little demure reading glasses that I can take everywhere. I have a few in different places such as my office my car my bags. They store very well in the small case which fits just about anywhere without bulk or weight.

Convenient and "Stylish" Reading Solution!
ThinOptics Universal Pod Case + Rectangular Reading Glasses are a game-changer for anyone needing a reliable, portable, and "stylish" solution for reading on the go. Stylish in quotes because nobody looks cool using readers...but these are pretty neat and practical: 1. Ultra-Portable Design: These reading glasses are incredibly compact and lightweight, making them perfect for carrying around. The Universal Pod Case is sleek and slim, fitting easily into your pocket, purse, or even attaching to your phone. It ensures you always have your glasses handy whenever you need them. 2. High-Quality Optics: Despite their small size, the ThinOptics glasses offer excellent clarity and comfort. The lenses are crystal clear, providing sharp and accurate vision for reading fine print or working on your phone or tablet. They are available in multiple strengths, ensuring you can find the perfect match for your needs. 3. Durable and Flexible: The glasses are made from durable materials that can withstand everyday wear and tear. The flexible frame conforms to your nose for a comfortable, secure fit without causing pressure or discomfort. They are designed to bend without breaking, offering longevity and reliability. I can usually get over a year out of a pair of these riding on my cellphone every day. 4. Stylish and Modern: The sleek, rectangular design of the glasses and the minimalist Universal Pod Case look modern and stylish. They don’t just serve a practical purpose; they also add a touch of sophistication to your daily accessories. 5. Easy Accessibility: The Universal Pod Case is ingeniously designed for easy access. You can attach it to the back of your phone, making it incredibly convenient to grab your glasses whenever you need them. The adhesive is strong but leaves no residue, ensuring a clean attachment. 6. Versatile Use: Whether you’re reading a menu in a dimly lit restaurant, checking your phone, or working on a document, these glasses are versatile and effective. They eliminate the need to carry bulky reading glasses and cases, providing a compact and efficient alternative. Overall, ThinOptics offers an excellent blend of convenience, durability, and "style." Their innovative design ensures you never have to worry about forgetting your reading glasses again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a practical and elegant solution to their reading needs!

Not a premium feel, they seem functional but NOT impressive by any means!
Good, not great! Just that, they are a decent product but basically are simply a flimsy pair of seemingly overpriced thin lensed readers without the ear (temple) pieces. They are nothing more than that from my experience of one day with them. They work, they do clip "clamp" on, you need to find a portion of your nose that they will stay on and that area will clearly vary from nose to nose. If you have a nice thin, defined bridge, it might be an easy fit, for me I have a "thick" bridge area and I have to slide them down a bit from the bridge until I find a place where they not only stay on but they also work for reading. It's not too hard and one in place they work as advertised. Also, they doe stick onto my iPhone case or in my wallet as one person showed which, for me, the extreme portability IS the prime attraction here. I always have my phone and wallet so if I carry these tiny GLASSES using one of those items, I can solve the "damn I need my reading glasses" conundrum I constantly find myself in. ONE THING I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND. IT SAYS ON THE PACKAGE, "FREE REPLACEMENTS FOR LIFE IF THEY BREAK". Is anyone else noticing this? For all of you whose glasses broke, can't you return them for a free pair? What am I missing? I registered mine per the yellow paper that came in the box and apparently I now have a lifetime warranty. We'll see how that goes if mine break like so many have. I'll report back if there is any significant news to report. They ARE NOT CHEAP ($$ wise) as readers go but they do feel VERY cheap, plasticky and flimsy for sure! There is clearly NOT a premium product feel here but if they work and last, it's fine by me but I have my doubts based on the feel as well as the negative feedback. I kinda like them for now but they'll need to last to carry any value. That's my two cents!

Truly Exceptional Quality and Clarity!
I was initially drawn to the ThinOptics Universal Pod Case + Rectangular Reading Glasses for the promise of portability, but I was absolutely surprised by how much better I can see with these compared to my old, cheap reading glasses. Before this purchase, I thought all reading glasses were essentially the same, but this experience made me realize there is a huge difference not just in size but in quality. The lenses are remarkably clear, providing sharp vision that has dramatically improved my reading experience. Beyond the superb clarity, the fit is excellent—they fit well and are surprisingly comfortable and secure for how lightweight and minimal they are. These ThinOptics have surpassed all my expectations. They are a game-changer for anyone who needs reading glasses on the go. I am so impressed, I am planning on buying a backup pair at some point. Highly, highly recommend!

They work good but the smartphone attachment benefit is overrated.
These do work as advertised but Thinoptics should really clarify it's warranty. When you register your glasses the company states that the lifetime warranty applies to retail store purchases or those made directly from their site. I do not consider Amazon a discount store, it is an on-line store where companies and people can sell items at varying prices, like any other place. As these come in the Thinoptics box and is only fulfilled by Amazon, that should qualify for the lifetime warranty. As it is, its left as a question in the buyers mind, something Thinoptics can fix at no cost, just make the policy very clear. If a purchase through Amazon doesn't qualify for the lifetime warranty then the description should be honest and upfront with customers. No excuse for this gray area in the warranty policy. As short duration readers they work well. They fit my nose well but would not stay put for my wife no matter where she placed them. Thats ok because the website says it should fit most, not all. The lens quality seems very good and they are very light. You do need to make sure they are put on straight and that can take two or more tries since you need to flex them to put them on. With regular glasses you just slip them on and they line up, with these you need to do that. You also need to make sure they are equal distance away from both eyes and its surprisingly easy to have one lens closer to one eye than the other. You'll get used to it but its not just a stick on and use affair. They are very thin for sure. I did notice glare if there is any light behind you. An anti-glare coating would probably help. Since the lenses are either flat to your face or slightly tilted outward at the sides, reflections from the side easily show on the inside. If you wear them for more than a short read, you will notice them on your nose as they rely on a slight pinch to stay put. If you sneeze, be prepared to catch them because they will probably come off, it happened to me. Same with smiling. Overall, I'm satisfied with them. While not a replacement for regular readers, they are thin, light and easy to take anywhere. For reading menus, instruction sheets and so on, they do a good job. As for the smartphone attachment, that sounds better than it works. While thin, it has to make the case slightly thicker so if you like a thin phone, adding something onto it probably isn't for you. Sticking the case to a tablet or laptop works but only if you carry that around with you or buy another pair (probably the intent). The price is reasonable as readers are getting more expensive all the time. A nice bonus would be a quantity discount, say 3 for $35 or something like that. I won't buy an extra pair at the current price. I am still trying to find the place I'd attach the case to where the glasses would reside while still being available. Realistically, the answer is multiple pairs but regular readers, while being larger do offer some advantages and being bulkier, contrary to what you'd think, are easier to remember and not leave in a pocket of your other short, pants or jacket. If I didn't have a pair I would buy another but I won't buy more to have around.

Unobtrusive, convenient, I've used them for 5 years
I'm a long-time user of ThinOptics, lens strength does need to increase over time, I guess! The design has become more sturdy, but remember the value vs investment you are getting for these. Don't expect to use them for many years, the bending and pinching them on and off will eventually cause you to buy another pair. And that's it, you just buy another pair and enjoy the convenience and surprised looks as people see them and constantly ask to try them and inquire where I bought them. Even though I've probably bought 5-6 pairs over the years, I give them 5* because they do exactly as you'd expect and live happily in my pocket to be slid out at a moment's notice. No more searching around for my reading glasses when I'm out of the house (or realize that I forgot them...). They are my mobile glasses and work well for shorter meetings as needed. For computer work, I have proper reading glasses as they are on my face for hours at a time. A competitor, Nooz look more comfortable, but they don't stay on your nose. I tried them also, but they just don't stay put! Go for it, you'll never have to ask someone to borrow their reading glasses again!

As the 5 Star rating suggests, We Love these glasses!
I bought 2 pair of these about 1 month ago. 1 for me and the other for my honey, who never seems to have his reading glasses with him! First I love mine, I have been wearing them daily since I received them. I now can also lay in bed on my side and watch tv without the ear piece pushing the lens off my eyes to I can't watch a movie on my iPad! I know sounds crazy but it is what I like to do! Second I can rub the corner of my eye while leaving these on, again sounds stupid but it is amazing to be able to do that without thinking about it! I have a normal width and bridge height to my nose and they stay on very well. I can easily turn my head, lightly shake my head, look down and up and they do not fall off. However I have learned that I can't drink hot coffee or eat a sandwich with them on apparently because I use too much muscle movement in the face area and then...yes they do fall off, but it makes me laugh when it happens because as another reviewer said there is very little warning when this happens. I have had them fall off in the garbage can and right into a pile of gravy ( which washed off easily) but that happened I think because I was in the kitchen cooking for a period of time and didn't reset the glasses onto my nose properly! They have a very small rough surface on the part of the nose area to help grip to your skin and while it is there I really haven't felt that it has affected my skin at all. Now onto my forgetful MAN... who never buys or wears his own glasses and is always taking and breaking mine! He LOVES his, he wears them, he knows where they are, because he likes them and thinks they are neat! He even puts the little case in his wallet and BRINGS his glasses to town with him! So for me this is WONDERFUL!!! Now being a man his nose is larger and broader than mine, but his seem to fit him well and they stay in place for him. However he doesn't wear his for long time periods that I do. We also love that they are frameless and so easy to look over the top and then right back to what you are reading without any effort or visual impairment. They are also so light you forget they are on your face and the bridge of my nose doesn't get sore anymore! I have noticed that mine are already starting to get fine scratches in the lenses, nothing too bad yet but keep in mind I take, carry and wear these glasses everywhere and other lens scratch also. We also own a business where we are in close contact with a lot of customers who always comment when I set these on my nose and I have so much fun telling others about them and letting them try them on.
