Very healthy tubers-fantastic growth!
Very healthy fresh bulbs! Planted Thanksgiving week and 4 weeks later they’re over 3’ tall! Very vigorous growers! Can’t wait for harvest! We are in Zone 13B; arid and HOT and they love the sun and some afternoon shade!

Excellent!!
Okay, so the shipping took absolutely forever! I was convinced that there was no way these were going to survive, especially coming from I believe it was California to Florida! In this heat? I was certainly they would be dead! However, they were absolutely beautiful. You can see from the first photo that they were sweating slightly so, they were staying moist without staying wet. All of the roots had already started producing when they arrived in package. The second photo I took, please understand that they have been sitting in a bag over a week longer than the week-long shipping! I wish I had taken a picture when I first opened them, however I did not. They were much prettier when I got them! They now have a few spots that bloomed and started rotting, so I've cut those off and left them in the sun for a few hours before planting, but they're still plantable! This was entirely my fault, I should have planted them within a day or two or at least pulled them out of the packaging. I love little note that came with them. I could see how something like this would go bad in shipping and the seller wouldn't have much control over that. However, if somebody did end up with a rotting one, the seller seems intent on replacing it for you, they even say so on the note that comes in the package. I think that any negative reviews on the product were likely hasty! 10 out of 10, I will be buying more!

What to expect
For all reading this review I think this will be Beneficial to you as what to expect. For years I grew these great tubers. The taste was so Unexpectedly good. I liked thinly slicing them and just eating them plain. (Wash them first) So like any tuber plant they will multiply. That is exactly what you want. They do look like a sunflower, when they grow their stalk. The flower head is not very large. Over the growing season, if planted correctly, the ones that you have will grow larger bigger and as I said, multiply. This means you need the space to allow that to happen. In my area just after the last frost I would dig up the tubers I wanted and leaving the rest to multiply. What you receive in the mail Will not be the size you may have thought. These are more like starter tubers. The ones that I would dig up to eat for salads, snacks were from 5 to 6 inches long and had at least four new places of growth on them, where I could simply break that off and start more. When you plant these you have to be committed to waiting for them to become the size that you will be happy with. Even before planting my new tubers, I made sure that the soil was a whole lot deeper than even 6 inches even though I planted them at the recommended depth of 2 inches. They have to have a place to expand and grow. In the right conditions these can be prolific growers. They definitely were for me. In fact they actually became so spread out that I couldn’t keep up with all of them. Also keep that in mind as you plant these. You can put them in planter, but you will have fewer to enjoy. These were clean and fresh; packaged in shavings. Sprouts had started on them, showing they were healthy. Since the growing season will be all summer, I could only give them a four-star until I see how they actually mature and put forth new tubers. For now I highly recommend them. Keep in mind that this is a very good source of having food that you can keep growing for years and years and years. I know I’m looking forward to seeing how well these will do over the summer. I am hoping to add the last star at seasons end.

So good so far other than no sunflowers yet.
These are growing so huge! They haven't sprouted the sunflowers yet but they are taller than I am. Planted this year so we will see If the flowers sprout this year or next.

They seem to be very healthy and should grow well.
These seem to be nice, healthy tubers and started to sprout right away. I look forward to watching them grow! There was even a Sunchoke Grow Guide included, with tips for planting them. This is my first attempt to grow these, so it was reassuring to have an instruction sheet, even though the procedure is very simple!

Great Growers.
I planted these just a day or so after they have arrived due to weather related reasons. After planting, they took about a week for all five to start showing growth. Overall, I'm very happy that they all are growing. I honestly can't wait to see them get bigger and keep growing. May update as the year progresses.
