I bought these as a Christmas gift for my wife. Many of the knives we have purchased look good, but are cheap, flimsy or feel underweight. Not these bad boys. These are seriously solid knives. They are heavy, sharp really cool. Unlike other knives, these are so sharp and heavy, they cut through just about anything. My wife is thrilled with them. So much so, she had me send the other knife set back. Her words....why do I need those knives...these do everything!

Quality, heavy, solid knives. Not for every day use, at least for me. They cut well. I don't use often because I don't a convenient pkace to store them. Nuce though.

The knife gets high points just for the "cool" factor. It's quite an eye-catching knife and a real conversation starter. As to the quality, it's adequate for the price range. It seems sturdy enough and the wood handle looks nice. The tang goes entirely through the handle, which should make the handle quite strong and there is a hole on the back end of the tang if you want to hang the knife up. The blade, upon arrival, is not razor sharp so it took a little honing to get it sharp. It is usable as is but I prefer my knives to be very sharp. The blackened upper part of the blade, which gives the knife a very cool look, is a bit tacky if you examine it closely, but overall looks fine. Ergonomically the knife works well. The handle provides a good grip and the design of the knife makes it nearly impossible for the hand holding the handle to slide forward onto the blade. The curved blade works quite well for slicing bacon and other things by using a rocking motion while pressing down on the top of the blade. The same curved blade, however, makes the knife less effective than a conventional cleaver for chopping things. The sheath is nice and thick, holds the knife well, and can fasten onto your belt if you want to impress your camping friends. The knife is NOT dishwasher safe but it is easy to hand wash and I apply a thin coat of cooking oil on it after drying it well. Overall, the knife is better quality than I anticipated in this price range. It's eye catching, works fine for certain tasks, and fun to own.

Great quality knife set.. looks great, functions perfectly. The blade is made of softer metal than I'm used to. Very sharp but dulls easy. Only a couple swipes on the steel and its ready to go again. Fast to arrive. Recommend to all who want a unique set of knives.

Bought this for a gift for my niece. Told her she could use this to cut and slice breads and cake. And to protect herself. Haven't heard any complaints so far.
