Reliable and well worth the money.
Bought this to power a Japanese 3DO console which needs 100v supply and is 70w. This item did the job perfectly. It is heavy so not something you'd ideally travel with but perfect for use at home with electronics bought from Japan or the USA. It didn't get hot and was still pretty cool after 3 hours of use. Have used it alot over the 3 days I've had it and would recommend over cheaper less reliable products I've seen as its sturdy, well made and paying a little bit more for this beats buying a cheap fire risk.

Nice solid build
Nice solid build, with a heavy metal case held together with screws and not glue or anything. The earth connections work (tested), the main switch isolates the live side of the input, and it has a 4A fuse (though no thermal cutout). So all in all it looks well made as far as I can see. It runs cool and quiet - measured about 96% efficiency at 170W. By the way, it's an autotransformer with common earth and neutral, if that's of interest to anyone.

WELL CONSTRUCTED. The spec could say its not an isolating transformer!
Seems well constructed. Dual output 110v and 240v sockets. Looks like a nice 500VA torroid inside. Manufacturer could hace clarified that is an autotransformer, not an isolating transformer. CE compliant with shuttered uk 3 pin socket for 240v output and uk mains lead for input. 500VA ia adequate for running the amplifiers and radios I repair on the bench, but I would have preferred an isolating transformer for this purpose (or a clear statement that it isnt). So I've knocked a star off.

Perfect and easy to use as I don’t usually deal with this sort of thing but Husband not able and I found it easy.

Dead on Arrival. Get to pay for return...
The Transformer failed roght out of the box. I tried a different power lead and outlet just to make sure it was the unit. No "Power On" Indicator when turned on. There was a faint burnt electronic component smell when I opened the bag the transformer was in. Kicker is Amazon is going to make be pay return postage for it. Complete and utter failure.

Step down has been working perfectly for my US tool charging needs. US plug is stiff and needs some convincing but after some use it softens.
