Amazon Essentials Women's Short Sleeve Elastic Waist Cotton Jersey Minidress

I was looking for this style of dress in cotton since a similar one I bought was polyester and a little hot. This looked like it fit the bill, and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the navy, which is almost more of a peacock blue, but very pretty. It was comfortable, cool, not to shear but soft fabric. The dress is a nice length, hitting just above the knee (I'm 5'3"), and the pockets are a plus! I plan to buy it in black as well. I would buy more colors if it came in more dark shades - a lot of the colors are pretty light, and seem like they wouldn't be as flattering. Very happy with my purchase!

This 100% cotton dress is perfect for me- good fit, all cotton for summer, !!POCKETS!! that fit my phone. Just placed my 6th order for a 3rd dress: half the time I get used/dirty, or damaged/defective products. Usually doesn't happen with Amazon products- go figure. But this last time, I did reorder, because, seriously, this is the perfect throw on, go to the store summer dress.

True to size. Lightweight, comfortable, perfect for summer evenings, can be dressed up or down.

These are very cute and practical dresses, but I found the fabric too heavy for a light Summer dress. Even though I liked the style and fit, I’ll be returning... 😕

If you’re looking for a comfy dress that you can throw on during those hot summer months this is it. I love the design. The cinch at the waist gives it shape and of course, POCKETS!! What’s not to love about that feature?!! This dress can be styled any way you like. Casual with tennis shoes or dressy with a belt and some cute sandals. I bought the blue color and it’s beautifully bold. I’m 5’5, 143lbs, pear-shaped and bought a medium. It fits perfectly. Hits at the knee and roomy for comfort but still gives me shape. The material isn’t see through either. Highly recommend.

This feels like good quality. A little thicker than I was expecting, but I like it because it’s not see through. The top fits well. The skirt part is a little tighter than I’d like it on my wider hips, so it definitely will require shape wear underneath for me.

What a comfy casual dress that can be dressed up or down, depending on what you pair it with. It's a comfortable soft material, and the fit is great. I'm 5'2" 150 lbs and got a medium. It did not shrink in the wash. This was the second one I purchased, after loving the first one so much.

I'm 5' 4" measuring ~42/34/47". That puts me at an XL according to the size chart, but I ordered Large because that's what fits in other dresses in this brand. Overall I found this to be a very unflattering silhouette for my (pear) body shape. The shoulder/upper chest fit okay, but the dress hides my waist definition and doesn't sit on my belly/hips in a flattering manner. The elastic waist was a little too loose to try pulling up to blouse the top portion a little. A size up would have fit over my belly & hips better, but I think it would have been too big over my upper body. A quick note on the color - the description says navy, but in person this was much too bright to call navy; the product photos are pretty accurate. I didn't have great lighting for my photo so it looks a little darker/less saturated than it does in person.

Great dress, good fit but I would say it would be nice for some of it to be more shapely on the body.
