New Favorite EDC knife
This knife is great. The blades are incredibly sharp and makes tasks easy. It is super light weight and small. Can barely notice it in the pocket. If I had to say something bad about the knife it would be that the blades dule pretty quickly if used for more tough tasks. But it is not that big a deal because you can just replace the blade for a brand new super sharp blade.

Pretty cool
Well made and sturdy. Came in nice packaging too. Smooth bearing, strong liner lock, small and compact.

This one is much safer than the non locking ones
Nice and slim. It’s easy to carry without leaving a pocket print. Great for things that need a sharp clean cut. Best part is it has a liner lock so that you won’t have a scalpel slam closed across your fingers.

Amazingly small, light, sharp
Took a risk on this knife with no reviews because I really liked the design. Worked out. Very happy with it. New EDC, replacing Gerber EAB. Scalpel blades make utility blades look like butter knives! I like the shape, it's more pocketknife-like than the other scalpel knives on Amazon. Very small and light. Barely over 30g, about an ounce. So tiny, you can clip it to your pocket or waistband and forget about it. 10/10 Everything is tight with no play. Flip and locking mechanism works well. Have to hold it a certain way to keep your fingers clear when you flip it open. 9/10 So sharp. Unless you are a knife-sharpening nerd, you have never experienced sharpness like scalpel sharpness. And the included blades are cheap blades; they get a lot better. 11/10 best possible WARNING: Replacing the blades is inherently dangerous. Your fingers will slip, so don't put them anywhere where they will slip into the blade. Use pliers several times to get the hang of it before attempting this barehanded. Dangerous!! Note: There is a 1.5mm x 6mm tritium tube slot on the pocket clip. I don't have a tritium tube so I filled it with yellow nail polish. Update: pocket clip came loose. Using it puts stress on the screw so that it will always come loose in time. Can be retightened but annoying, removed 1 star.

High quality at excellent price!
My Olitans scalpel knife arrived carefully packaged in an Amazon box, and upon opening the box it was in its own custom box, with cleaning cloth, 10 scalpel blades, and a neatly printed pamphlet from the manufacturer. Nice details. The scalpel is beautifully crafted. It feels nice, no looseness, and the blade is stowed firmly within the body nice and straight. What I immediately liked is the tab near the pivot point that allowed me to easily flick the blade from its stowed position to locked and ready mode. Holding the scalpel body between my middle finger, and thumb. Then using my index finger on the tab allowed me to deploy the blade in one smooth motion. The blade stays solidly locked by leaf spring action built into the body. So there is no danger of the blade collapsing back into its body when applying firm force while slicing. The only faults I could find is the selection of dog tag ball chain to keep it secured on you keychain. I prefer using a steel ring. Comparing the Olitand to my previous scalpel knife, it is definitely several notches better! Lastly if you are mechanical professional like I am, having a IFixit driver kit is a good investment to keep your scalpel knife tuned perfectly. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommend this product.

Awesome scalpel and pocket knife.
Awesome little razor blade (scalpel) folding knife. What you sacrifice in blade durability - you make up for in sharpness and shape. (I'm not dinging the blade holder, it is extremely well made - but the blade is a scalpel/razor, it's not going to take much abuse). I for example tend to need sharp more than bomb-proof blade in my EDC pocket knives, plus I now have one in each of my first aid kits (car, backpack, bike bag, etc.) to serve as actual scalpels.

Like a beautiful smile with a missing tooth...
Man, I love this little knife. It's a great fidget tool that comes in handy often. I love how easy and cheap it is to replace blades and I use it for everything from skinning squirrels to opening envelopes. There is one hole in this little guy's game though... the knife keeps coming loose at the swivel joint and I'm constantly having to retighten it so the blade won't hit the frame when I close it. I've tried over-tightening it, but then the blade won't open smoothly. If there's a obvious fix I'm missing, please let me know.

This is the most important surgical tool a first aid kit could possibly have.
I already had an excellent folding scalpel. This scalpel design is so much better! My first folding scalpel did not feature a locking mechanism and the manual opening technique frequently resulted in unintentional cuts on the opening fingers. This new and improved version of a folding scalpel allows a flick open trigger with less risk for unintentional cuts. Secondly, such a sharp blade should not be at risk of accidental closure on one's fingers, and that is why the lock on this blade provides so much confidence in safety. The razor Sharp quality available for the replacement blades, not only give you the perfect blade shape, but you also get inexpensive, razor sharp solutions to any type of blade wear and tear without the effort of sharpening. You get high-performance surgical precision in a very thin package with perfectly safe and easy deployment. I should point out one important factor when it comes to the technique of opening the scalpel. When you flip out the blade, apply the squeezing pressure to the non-trigger end of the knife and avoid applying squeezing pressure to the middle of the knife body.
