I bought about 18 of these back a few months ago for wedding centerpieces and they were beautiful! They went good with the mild rustic look we wanted and with a small flower arrangement around it! They looked perfect. These are light weight and the candle inside is plastic but gives off a real apparence. They come with batteries and were very easy to put together the screws and the little round piece at the top. I had emailed Laura from Bright Zeal to ask a few questions and the customer service from Bright Zeal was A+! Laura even checked back in a few times to make sure we were happy with our purchase. I have two bright zeal candle lanterns. I attached a picture to show the size difference. As soon as I took this one out of the box my mom, dad, and husband commented on much they liked it. I love the color, detail, and size! The timer on it is so handy so I don’t waste battery! Now that I know my parents love it so much I can gift one to them too (because I don’t want to part with this one). It matches my decor perfectly and provides the perfect amount of light/ambiance. It’s winter here now so I’m keeping it inside as decoration, but look forward to multi purposing this in the warmer months outside!

This lantern adds a nice touch to my living room. It calls to mind the Middle Ages, when lanterns like these provided the only lights around a castle or hut. I first hung mine from a hook in the ceiling, where it illuminated an otherwise dark corner of the room, but then I moved it to a tabletop, which allows me to gaze at the “wick” of the candle. I love the flicker, perfectly imitating a guttering wax candle. The timer is a nice touch, but it would be better if it offered 2 or 3 different time spans, rather than only 6 hours. 6 hours is about right for the winter months ( I live in Washington state), but it would be nice to have a shorter time option for the summer months - maybe 3 hours.

I am a bit obsessed with lanterns and this did not disappoint. It is a hard plastic like some of the other reviews mentioned but that just makes it more lightweight and not as prone to damage. It comes in 2 colors, black or bronze. I chose the bronze and the color makes it look like its metal. You really can’t tell unless you actually touch it.The timer works exactly as described and it also comes with a small screwdriver to access the candle.Overall I think its definitely worth the money.

I really like these vintage candles. They look expensive and are very sturdy. They look great on my balcony.

I am really really happy with this lantern. It came with batteries, really nice, and a mini screwdriver, doubly nice.It has a timer feature , where once set the light flickers, in a very candle like way for 6 hours, then turns itself off until the next day at the same time. I placed this on my holiday display table, and even though I put away my Christmas decorations, I plan on leaving it on my coffee table, because it looks so nice and gives off such a nice flickering glow. Highly recommend this lantern.

The media could not be loaded.  This lantern is very lightweight. The glow of the lantern is very warm and just the right flicker. You can turn it on or on a timer. I love having the option of the timer! My unit arrived with the batteries, a mini screwdriver, and a couple extra small screws. These are so you can remove the bottom for cleaning or filing with other decorative material. It really is quite nice!

I purchased 2 of these to hang from my covered deck. One of the lights shows nice light, while the other barely shows that it is on. I left it like that for a couple of weeks, thinking with regular use it would change. Was still the same, so I decided to put new batteries in both hoping they would display the same light. New batteries made no difference. The same one hardly shows that it is lit. Very disappointed in this. I love the one that works well. Very pretty.
