International Concepts Mission Plant Stand, 36-Inch High, Solid Parawood, Unfinished

This stand looks exactly as shown in the picture, it is real wood, well-made and sturdy. The instructions were clear and my preteen granddaughter put it together quickly. It looks very nice holding a plant especially one with cascading "limbs", or a large vase of flowers. But it is useful for holding other things as well, and it does have a shelf down low, just a few inches up from the floor, to hold another plant, a knick knack, or a few notebooks or books. The lower shelf could even be a place to stash your shoes when you come in the front door, if you keep the stand at the entranceway.

I absolutely LOVE this stand so far! The video was taken after dark, so the color in the video is a bit off, but the piece is beautiful! It took me FOREVER to find and decide on a stand to fit my needs, but here is what I love about it: * Beautiful color that closely matches my Montessori shelves (ECR4kids brand) * Stylish * tall enough to fit the pink tower work with ease-plenty of room to spare above it * unfinished wood means I can stain it a beautiful color later (I have seriously considered staining it teal or purple...but it's current, unfinished color is so beautiful that I might not) * It fits above an air register nicely and I even have an air diverter on mine, which still fits under this stand (see video), allowing me to utilize the space above the air register (and cover it up, since it isn't exactly pretty to look at) * has a lovely top for putting a plant up or putting the pink tower extension cards on The stand was pretty easy and quick to put together with just one adult, but might be made slightly easier with 2 adults. The wood and the screws felt very sturdy, even the allen wrench was nice. The finished piece, itself, feels very sturdy and should last a long time. I LOVE this stand!

Purchased this table to hold a Bentley water filter system. I was very surprised at the quality. Very sturdy and love the raw wood. Can be painted or stained to match any decor. Highly recommend.

This plant stand is even more beautiful than I thought. I used Minwax oil based penetrating stain in the color Mocha. Assembly was easy. It’s really sturdy and the wood grain really pops.

This item arrives disassembled, in four parts, the slatted sides and the top and bottom shelves. It's easy to assemble; it took me less then ten minutes. The hardware is included, along with an allen wrench for the bolts. I see that there is one question about sanding the item. It is, in fact, unfinished, and I anticipated some sanding on arrival...and I was correct. There were a couple of places on the item where cutting against the grain had left some very rough patches which the cursory sanding of the item had not fixed. Also, some of the edges and corners need a bit more attention to sanding. It didn't take long, only about ten minutes of work with fine-grit sandpaper, and the item was in an acceptable state. I would advise International Concepts to devote a little more quality control time to the sanding of their product. The item is unfinished; it's up to you to oil or stain it. Documentation: the printed instructions for assembly are good, and there is ample contact information for the product. Price: at about $55, I think this is a fair price for the item. It's well constructed and sturdy. Bottom line: this is a nice piece of all-wood interior furniture, which just needs a little bit more sanding. I may well buy another one.

Everything about this stand is great. It’s sturdy, the color is beautiful as is and amazingly enough all the screws lined up perfectly. I was looking for a smaller stand that fits in my living room for my plant, and it’s perfect!
