This is what a KitchenAid Mixer was meant to be...

Amazing dough mixer. If you make a lot of bread, chapati, dinner rolls, etc, this is the machine to purchase. It is constructed very well, the quality of the bowl and the dough hook is amazing, all stainless steel metal which is strong. Wish KitchenAid designed their machines the way this dough mixer is designed. If you are deciding between getting a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and this machine, get this dough machine if you primarily work with dough for bread. KitchenAid Stand Mixer is appropriate for mashed potatoes, whip cream. You are getting a stronger mixer with this dough machine compared to a KitchenAid mixer. This machine has suction cups for stands so that it is stable even when working with tough dough. The motor is very strong it pulverizes tough dough mixes. This dough maker will ferment the dough for you and all you have to do is shape your dough and prepare for baking. I like this machine, it has sorted me out when it comes to working with dough and does an exceptional job at it. For comparison purposes to KitchenAid, this dough machine is a 120V ~ 60Hz, 250 watt machine and handles tough dough like a pro compared to a KitchenAid stand mixer

Easy for making bagel dough

I've ruined a few KitchenAids (the Costco model) trying to make bagel dough — it's just too tough on the motor since the dough isn’t very wet. I bought this to see if it could handle bagel dough, and it's been great! I've made about six batches so far with no issues.I don’t use it to proof the dough, but it handles mixing and kneading really well. One thing to note: the blade can be tough to remove after mixing, so I now lightly coat it with cooking oil beforehand, which makes removing the blade so much easier. This is so much easier than using my KitchenAid. With that, I was constantly adjusting — a little more water, a little more flour — and I had to keep an eye on the motor the entire time. With this, I just add the ingredients and walk away.Yes, it's one more appliance to store in my small kitchen, but honestly, it's worth it.

Mixes 2.2 pounds of flour better than a food processor or stand mixer

The "directions" were comically bad.I made dough from a full 2.2 pound bag of Caputo Blue and White flour. That is the upper limit for flour at a time. It did a fine job, the motor didn't complain too much, I didn't smell that overstressed motor smell. It made a single dough ball after the (default) 15 minutes, and I let it ferment for 90 (default) minutes. I noticed there was very little unmixed flour on the sides, the unit did a really good job getting the flours on the sides into the mix. I didn't have to pause the unit and scrap the sides.I believe these dedicated dough makers are the way to go vs food processors or stand mixers.I've tried a few mixing products, giving each the 2.2 pound flour test. The first was a 850 watt Ninja food processor. It did OK but you are supposed to flip the dough a knead for a bit more time, which is a PITA. The motor sounded and smelled like it was stressed by the 2.2 pounds of flour. I doubt it would last very long if it had to mix 2.2 pounds of flour often. It was rated to withstand 2.2 pounds of flour.I also tried the Cook Lee stand mixer (660 watt motor). Again the motor sounded overstressed and the mixer body twisted and contorted when the dough got thick. It would not last long either mixing 2.2 pounds of flour. It was rated to withstand 2.2 pounds of flour.

Very nice

My wife loves this. She uses it constantly. Her other mixer is not used as much anymore since she makes a lot of dough. It does not wobble on the counter top while mixing.

It's ok

Instructions pretty much non-existent. It mixes dough with some help, it ferments it. But if it breaks, I would not repurchase.

Excellent Product

Bought my Joydeem dough maker in July 2023. I use if for homemade yeast breads, sourdough breads and pizza dough. I have found it to be an excellent product and a workhorse in our kitchen. I can't imagine anyone that makes bread returning this product. On average we use it 3-5 times a month more often during holidays. If grands are visiting it stays busy making pizza dough. The doughs made by it are always silky smooth, a delight to work with.

Dangerous.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Dangerous and Unsafe – Caught Fire on First UseI purchased the Joydeem Electric Dough Maker recently from Amazon. Unfortunately, on the very first day I turned it on, it sparked violently and caused a short circuit in my house. The internal fuse was burned, and there were visible signs of burning on the circuit board and inside the casing (see attached photos).I suspect the plug was not compatible with our local power socket (Malaysia), and there was no proper warning or instruction about voltage requirements. I had already disposed of the box, so I couldn’t return the unit.I had to send it for repair at my own expense. This was extremely disappointing and dangerous. I hope the seller or manufacturer takes this issue seriously and informs future customers clearly about plug and voltage compatibility.⚠️ Not recommended unless you are sure it suits your country’s voltage and plug type.

Great mixer for making bread!

I bought this last year because I am not able to knead dough as long as needed due to surgery on both elbows and wrists many years ago. I hadn't had a chance to use it until just a couple of weeks ago. I am now retired and want to learn to bake bread. This is a great machine for that. It mixes and kneads the dough, then keeps the temp warm for rising. That's helpful because I have cool house. If I need a knead or rise time that doesn't fall within the 5 minute increments, I just set the longer time on the machine and the shorter time on the timer on the stove. It's easy. So far I have made 2 types of white bread, flaky biscuits, dinner rolls and jalapeno cheddar bread. All were delicious. I have a kitchenaid mixer that can knead dough, but I like this because I can mix it and get a warm rise from the same bowl. Great investment!
