Ektorp Chair Cover Replacement for IKEA Ektorp Armchair Cover, Ektorp Chair Slipcover, Ektorp Cover Only!(Daily Off White)

Like others, I was dismayed when Ikea discontinued the Ektorp line. My challenge was locating matching replacement loveseat and ottoman covers in a color that was not some version of off white/beige or gray. And, they needed to be less than the price of entirely new furniture. This seller had both covers in Dark Ocean. It's an upscale looking saturated blue that appears to me to be very slightly more to the teal side than it appeared on my screen. It adds great color to the room without taking over the room. I'm 100%+ happy with my color selection. The fabric is far more substantial than I expected, has a light texture and does not appear to be a lint or animal fur magnet. The construction seems high quality and appropriately sturdy. Although trying to iron anything the shape of the loveseat cover is a bit challenging, I was surprised at how easily the shipping creases ironed out of both items. The cushion covers barely show any wrinkles from use. Both covers fit perfectly. The cushion covers are nice and snug which made my 10 year old (at least) loveseat cushions "poof" up like new. Getting the cover on the ottoman top required a bit of effort but it zipped up tightly and looks perfect. The grommets for the "bumper" screws are a bit smaller than on the original Ikea ottoman cover so you do have to make sure the cover is exactly in place for them to line up with the holes on the underside of the ottoman top. Just make sure the edge trim is correctly aligned and you should have no problem. The loveseat cover arrived within a few days. The ottoman cover was out of stock when I placed my order. There was an additional week or two delay on the ottoman cover but the seller provided appropriate updates and it arrived as promised in the updates. The results more than made up for that bit of extra wait!

These covers fit perfectly on my Ikea Ektorp Ottomans. They are a great quality and a nice thick material so they will hold up well. Lots of reviews said they were difficult to put on but I did not find that to be the case. They are actually easier to put on and fit better than the actual covers you get at Ikea. I have not tried washing them yet so I can't speak to that but I will update the results once I need to.

This replacement cover is PERFECT for my Ecktorp sofa! The fabric is nice and thick, the color is exactly what I was hoping it would be and it fits as well as my original covers from IKEA. Visitors to my home think I got a new couch! Highly, highly recommend!

This was a great find! I was sad when Ektorp covers were not made anymore, my cover from so many years ago was just wearing out and tired. So of course, a quick Amazon search and wa-la! Fit is great, color is nice, and will return to update after its first wash. So far, so good!

This was a great purchase. The slip covers fit exactly as they should on my old Ikea sofa and makes it look like a brand new piece. They wash beautifully. I was a bit concerned about the white not coming clean, but a little Spray N Wash and they came out perfectly. I did the seat cushions and main cover separately, dried them for about 20 min on low heat and then hung them for a bit. They are easy to put on and an inexpensive way to get a new look. I would definitely make this purchase again.

The replacement cover for our IKEA Ektorp Ottoman arrived on time and in good condition. The gray color was pleasing, though it appeared darker in the photo on Amazon. The fabric was heavy but not as heavy as the original cover which was made in Turkey. The cover for the top ottoman cushion was easy to install and fit perfectly. The cover for the bottom storage section of the ottoman was more difficult to install. At first, it didn't fit at all. I had to remove the 1/4 inch soft yellow foam wrapped around the outside of the frame in order for the new cover to fit. Once the foam was removed the cover fit nicely, thought it was definitely a tight fit. The original ottoman looks like new again. I assume the foreign manufacturer constructed the cover without taking the foam wrap into consideration. I would advise anyone purchasing an Ektorp cover to contact the vendor regarding the dimensions and reference the foam wrap.

I expected a more green than blue tone, but the weerma and the quality is very good! It fits perfectly to my ektorp sofa.

My chair is several years old so maybe that was the issue but this cover (other than for the back pillow) bore no resemblance to my armchair - a shame because the colour and the delivery were very good

The cover fit great and I was so happy to have found something to fit my well-loved Ektorp chair. But then I had to wash it. I washed the cover according to product instructions and the entire fabric came out damaged (see photo). Ironing made it worse. When I contacted the company they refused to help in any way and told me to look up YouTube videos on how to fix it. I had my IKEA brand covers for a decade and washed them regularly with zero problems. These were ruined in one wash. $230 wasted with no ownership from the company. The entire point of slipcovers is to be able to wash them easily. When I went to return my brand new, unused cover (as I didn't want to keep anything I couldn't clean), I was assured I would be reimbursed for shipping costs from the company. I confirmed it multiple times in writing, as it cost $90 to ship the product back. Once they received the product, they refused to reimburse shipping costs. Horrible experience start to finish. Do not purchase these.
