Worth the money - pairs well with Hisense PX3-Pro
Combined this with a Hisense PX3-Pro projector (sorry AWOL you really need to release a product to compete with this model) - it is a superb projector material. It takes an hour or two to build, but once its done, it's superb. Be very careful that your working surface is free of dust and debris or they might become visibly lodged between the screen and the mounting frame - requiring it to be taken down and redone (if it bothers you). Also be very careful/methodical when tightening and follow instructions. This is installed in my downstairs office / den and it does a great job of rejecting everything but the most direct of sunlight.

Great screen!
We bought this with the Awol 3000 projector and we are very happy with our purchase! Good picture during the day with light coming in the window. It was tricky to put the screen on the frame. I suggest finding a YouTube video and having two people work together and do opposite sides at the same time.

Very Good ALR UST Screen
The AWOL VISION Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) 100” projector screen (C100) for UST projectors is a very decent screen. It provides an enhanced viewing experience compared to a plain white screen (by rejecting ambient light from above). The 95% Ceiling Light Rejecting(CLR) design really does work. No measurement were made by me to verify the 95%. But the effect looks good. The AWOL screen assembly is good design, but I am not saying it is an optimal design. There are competitors to AWOL, but I don’t see that anybody has an advantage over AWOL. One real down side is that these screens are not cheep from any brand. It is necessary to assemble and install the screen before using. It is obviously not practical to ship an assembled screen. I suspect that it would be correct to say that to assemble and install this screen is not for the faint at heart. I would expect many people are not mechanically inclined enough to handle the task. A single person can complete an installation if they are skillful enough. The screen was delivered to me on July 25, 2024, assembly began shortly afterwards (a reference date for the assembly instructions that I received). There was an included instruction manual and an online YouTube video. This review is only going to point out issues that I had and consequently what I did. First, the included instruction manual was dead wrong in the horizontal positioning of the wall mounting brackets. For the C100, the upper wall brackets should be between 55 to 65 inches horizontally apart (my opinion). In my installation, I was fortuitously to have wall studs ~64 inches apart just where I would like to have them (screen centered at the desired position). I noticed that when the screen is hanging on the brackets, you can slide the screen horizontally a couple of inches for a final position tweak. The ability to slide the screen on the wall brackets for a few horizontal inches is a plus. During assembly process, I used the bare inner frame to check the locations and the installation of the wall brackets. This is before the ALR screen material is installed on the inner frame. That was a great idea from AWOL’s YouTube video. A couple of other assemble instructions were not optimal, but do work especially if you understand the intent of the instructions. I gave the AWOL VISION ALR C100 screen 4 of 5 stars. Because of the spotty assembly instructions, I subtracted 1 star. However, AWOL has a good support team, they will listen to you and not blow you off or forget to return your emails.

Awol Vision 100" ALR Daylight Screen for UST projectors.
After my 75" led tv died and after watching a bunch of reviews on Youtube I bought this screen to pair with an Awol Vision ultra short throw projector. Screen came well packaged . Screen was rolled up on a cardboard tube and shrink wrapped. The frame components and attachment hardware was stored in foam inside the tube. This tube was in its own box. This box was inside another box. This packaging has some weight to it but should significantly or entirely reduce damage during shipping. My screen came on the scheduled day. The packaging wasn't beat up. After inventorying the package contents, the assembly instructions were sufficient for assembly. The screen is msde up of multiole layers making it surprisingly durable. There is an arrow on the back of the screen so it is mounted on the wall in the correct orientation. Tensioning the screen was pretty straight forward once the hardware was installed. It took two people to hang the screen on the wall with the included mounting hardware. The assembly instructions described this procedure well. The inner and outer frames are sturdy and esthetically pleasing. Extra assemly parts were included. Screen size is approximately 89"L x50"H. Overall, I'm pleased with the screen so far. Watching 100" 3D movies is awesome. 2D movies, video games, and streaming services are very clear as well. Where I have my screen mounted, I do not notice any difference in picture quality as brightness of room changes because the screen is an ALR (Active Light Rejecting) screen specifically designed for Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors in well lit rooms. If you're looking to upgrade or create a theater room in your dwelling, I would consider this screen. However; I have not tested other ALR screens in the same price range to see how they compare. This screen is for Ultrs Short Throw projectors. So, if you dont have a UST projector, this may not work with your setup . If it does, you may see a reduction in picture quality or need to optimize picture settings.

Incredible ALR
Not much else to say, this screen is incredible. It honestly wasn’t hard to set up, not sure if they have made improvements since the previous reviews but it’s like 16 screws, hand full of springs, and everything fit together perfectly. You can see from the picture with the lights on that the picture quality is amazing. That’s from an AWOL 3000 pro streaming YouTube TV.

Great screen!!
You would think for the price this thing would come assembled. With that said, the screen is great!! I was so anxious to try it out. It's like looking at a tv. Great quality and the ALR works great. It did take me a couple of hours to assemble. Definetly a 2 person job.

Not easy to put together.
Picture looks great during the daytime. However the only issue we had was putting the screen together. Parts were the incorrect size or holes were not measured correctly when they were being cut from their warehouse or distribution center.

This is a premium product and priced as such. But if you're buying a UTS projector then you already know what you're getting yourself into. Setup isn't to be rushed. Take your time and follow the instructions carefully to ensure you align everything properly and don't have any inconsistencies in the screen. It's a good idea to clear a space larger than the screen before beginning setup. Picture quality is top notch for a projector screen. It's almost as good as a quality OLED... Almost. I think it looks best in a low light environment but the ALR technology will do a good job at making it look good in almost any environment.

I bought the 120" ALR screen for AWOL VISION AU Direct. This came from China and arrived on time. Unfortunately the screen material did come with wrinkles across. The seller gave tips to rectify but unfortunately they didn't work. They didn't hesitate and sent out a new screen material, which was flawless. I also didn't have to send back the old screen. The seller was always in contact throughout the whole process. Always replied within 24 hours but usually quicker. I was kept up to date, and they made sure I ended up with a product I was happy with. Shout out to Winni, who looked after me. The product itself seems well built. Good viewing angles, and makes the projector watchable during the day. Instructions are ok. They did offer a video call service in case I needed further help, but I never used it. The wall brackets are flexible enough to place, so should suit most wall setups. The brackets also allow for some adjustments, if you only put one screw in, so you can make sure your frame is level before putting the second screw.

We have a dedicated theater room on the lower level of our home and previously projected onto the wall painted with special paint from our 3D projector. It worked great but even low lighting would seriously detract from the viewing experience. This was a problem for our youngest who is 7 yrs old and gets scared having it completely dark. When I saw this projector screen I was pumped to try it out because it has a larger viewing angle and a higher light rejection percentage. The installation can be tricky on your own (at least for someone spatially-challenged like me) partially due to the nature of the build as well as the instructions not being great. Fortunately my cross-level laser and a second pair of hands were a life-saver. You absolutely must install this with proper alignment. I read through other reviewer's experiences and took careful notes. I used a large space for assembly (we have an open concept walk-out basement) and laid it all out to take stock of all the parts first. After reading the instructions on a dry run we then did the full assembly. As another reviewer put it "It's easy but not simple" and it really does require careful attention to avoid rippling. Once that was done it was easy to set up. I don't have their personal brand of short throw projector, I have a mid-level one from another brand. I would love to invest in one of their projectors but it's not in my budget just yet however I was still able to have a good viewing experience with the screen. It is crisp, clear and vivid but it still has a hint of projector look to it. Having said that this is the best home projector screen I have seen in person and it by no means is low quality. It is really a great screen and it will be coming to the new house in a few months. Note: once assembled I could not fathom trying to disassemble and re-assemble this screen so it will be transported in one piece (thank goodness for walk-out basements with high ceilings and double doors.) Overall an excellent investment if you have a dedicated viewing area and the right projector

First impressions ------------------- Full disclaimer here is that I do not have an ultra short throw laser projector. I was not aware of that technology until I got this screen and it made me look further. Now I need a $5000 projector I guess – a slight upgrade from my sub $100 LED projector shown. The current setup is a laptop -> VGA input -> Cheap Projector (on grey-purple walls). The screen is almost as dark as the walls, which was a surprise, but it’s described by the micro reflector structured surface in the manual. It’s HUGE and Beautiful (and smelly for 2 days)! We are building a new house and there is a wall with this screen’s name on it. However, I will not be disassembling this to move it. It was easy to build and install, but easy doesn’t mean simple. It was a tight space to build. This screen boasts some pretty large improvement numbers like 80% picture quality improvement as well as 95% light rejection from ceiling lights (CLR) but, I did not experience such a drastic improvement that I desperately craved. In fact it’s arguably worse especially with dark scenes. I am debating flipping the screen upside-down (yes the arrow is pointing up right now) and hanging and flipping my projector to try to use the reflectors to my advantage. I did my best to take the best images possible to really showcase the screen, but in one image you can clearly see the laptop screen and the projected image from only 8 feet away (not filling the screen for now) – it’s not bright. I’ve seen video examples of these screens and they look like 4k plasma from all angles in daylight etc.. I did not experience that. Again.. cheap projector; expected an improvement still though. Pros ----- -Beautiful 120” screen -Technology designed for USTL Projectors -Easy to assemble(small oopsies in the manual) and mount -Superior quality -Thin profile, Light weight -Really sturdy build (for a screen and aluminum extruded frame) Cons ------ -Harsh chemical smell for 2 days (Vinyl) -Did not improve picture quality for cheap LED projector as expected Conclusion ------------- I definitely recommend this nice little product, I just can’t give it the fullest review as I lack half the technology to enjoy it correctly.. it did not correct my cheap projector’s poor image. This is no fault of this screen as it’s simply not designed for it. I’m disappointed, but excited to now start looking at a way more expensive projector than I need. LOL. I’ve seen examples of these and they are impressive. The assembly was pretty easy. All the parts where there, although floating around in some cases. I noticed in the manual that the fiberglass rods are labelled incorrectly for qty which made that section confusing. I also forgot the corner pieces, but it’s okay for now. Quick measurements with a laser level and it was hung in no time. Due to me expecting more out of this, making it arguably worse; now leading to costing more later to get the most out of it, I am giving a 3.5 stars, but I can’t give fractions so I am rounding up to 4 stars.

Installation is definitely a tricky job, especially if you're a perfectionist. Once installed though, if done right, it does look quite good but you would need a nice projector as well
