This is a great product. I have been using a parallel glider since 1976 to do quick sketches and one and two point perspectives. This glider does not disappoint. It rolls smoothly and parallel. Great to have around for straight line drawing.

I think that the 14" version of this tool is really great for my purposes. I am in landscape architecture and often work with very large documents so the added length is crucial. However, it is clear that there is noticeably more wiggle room in the wheel of this glider than in my friends 10" version of this glider . Although it still functions very well and Alvin gliders are by far the best, there is less than a mm of extra space between the wheel axel and the channel it sits in and it causes some minor drifting when you handle it. I am still happy with the purchase but can say with confidence that it is not as perfectly parallel as the 10" which I first used and inspired me to buy this one.

I make a mechanical drawing for almost everything I build in my workshop. I've not yet mastered any CAD drafting program. By the time I study the stuff enough to use it, I can have cranked out many, many drawings by hand. I have been looking for the parallel glider for some time and am now glad I made the investment. It saves much time in drawing parallel lines. So far the rubber wheels are gripping the paper and not sliding. I don't know if they will eventually harden. If they do I suspect that I might be able to replace them with O-rings. Anyway, it's a very handy drafting tool and I'm glad I bought it.

The acrylic is too long compared to the metal glider. Very flimsy. Go with the 10" one if you don't need the extra length.

Seems really sturdy and does the trick with parallel lines.

It doesn't glide smoothly making it useless.

nice improvement over the original which I have been using for 20 years. recommended for use in sketching and even finished work.
