I waited so long with I don't know how many dehydrators in my shopping cart before pulling the trigger on this one. I don't have any regrets. In the 2 months I've owned it I have created 2 great batches of beef jerky, and a metric ton of dehydrated banana and apple chips. I also tried a cranberry fruit roll with the provided tray, and it came out ok -- mostly my fail and not the machine. Because my kitchen is right next to the living room, I was worried it would be too loud and interfere with conversation or hearing the TV. That is not the case at all. It's so quiet. I can hear it run, but it's hardly noticeable. The stainless trays are nice and easy to clean. The paperwork says dishwasher safe, but I still hand wash them to make sure the last as long as possible. The fruit tray and plastic mesh sheets are semi-ridged; they won't collapse when carrying them a bit (like from like to machine), but they are put in the machine on top of one of the stainless trays. The overall feel of the machine is good quality. It's solid and much more "attractive" to have on the counter than one of the plastic circular ones. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I am so happy with this crownfull dehydrater. It works great. I have already dried tomato skins for tomato powder, that were saved from blanched tomatoes that were cooked for juice. I am currently drying fresh basil and Roma tomatoes from our garden.

It literally stinks! The instructions say prior to the first use to run the dehydrator for 30 minutes at any temperature, without adding any food, making sure that the room has sufficient ventilation in case of any smoke or smells. There definitely is a smell. Kind of like burnt oil/electrical. Ok so I wiped out the interior with a wet wash rag several times then dried the unit. I ran it again for 30 minutes at 165F hoping that would take care of the odor. No good, it still stinks. Ran it again after wiping out with wet wash rag for 1 hour at 165F and our whole kitchen stinks. I cant put any food in this thing yet. I will try a few more times before giving up. On the plus side the unit looks very nice and is super quiet. My old round dehydrator was extremely loud. If I get this thing usable I'll update the review but I'm not putting any food in this until then! ****Edited 12/25/23 to say that after running the unit for 4 hours at 165F and washing multiple times with a clean damp rag that the smell is finally gone. I dehydrated some lions mane mushrooms and it did a very good job. The unit is super quite which is wonderful. It did a much better job than our old round dehydrator. I just wish I didnt have to go through all the steps to get rid of the odor. The mushrooms would have absorbed the smell and then tasted like it. I'll bump it up to 4 stars.

This dehydrator is fantastic. Removable shelves make drying larger items, such as branches of herbs, much easier than the tray style. The unit does not put out much heat, so the sealing is also a bonus over tray styles. Used for everything from herbs, to raisins to jerky, works fantastic every time.

Product arrived with an easily visible dent on the top. The shipping box was in perfect shape, so the damage happened before the item was packed into the box. I decided to keep it anyway, even though the dent on top was a disappointment. I did not want to mess with a processing a return and waiting for a new one. The dehydrator will not be sitting on my countertop. It will only be brought out when I am using it, so I will not be seeing the dent all the time. I am mentioning the damage in this review so that, if continues to happen, something can be done about it. Now to the good part. The unit is aesthetically pleasing. It has the look of a nice appliance, not a factory machine. I love the clear door, along with the interior light, that allows you to see what is going on while dehydrating. But the feature that I love the very most is how WONDERFULLY quiet it is. I had read other reviews that raved about it being so quiet, and that is what sold me on this dehydrator. I would not want to have to listen to something droning on for 12 -24 hours, and with this unit I don't have to. It's great. Bottom line: This dehydrator has several very nice features, and I highly recommend it.

I've used the CROWNFUL Food Dehydrator for about 6 months now and I really like it. It is so quiet I sometimes check to see if it's working. Easy to use and dehydrates food perfectly and evenly. I've made apple chips, dried herbs, fruit leather, tomatoes, all with great results!

This unit is easy to clean, very fast, and the adjustable temp and time is great. Worlds ahead of the ancient none adjustable dehydrators I am use to. Size is perfect for doing small at home batches of Beef jerky. Adjustable temp makes dehydrating fragile foods like mushrooms very convenient.
