The hair is super easy to comb, and it looks really realistic. It’s soft, silky, and really easy to work with—great for practicing all sorts of hairstyles. The thickness in some parts of the head, especially towards the top, feels pretty realistic, but it can be a little annoying at times. I can still work with it, though. I also wish the hair was packed a bit tighter—it would look more natural. But honestly, most mannequin heads don’t have that, so for the price, it’s still a solid choice. Overall, it’s a good mannequin head, exactly as advertised. The hair has a coarser texture, which I really liked because it’s closer to natural African American hair. There are even a few gray streaks, which is a nice touch. I’ve read some reviews about shedding, but since I just got it today, I can’t say how bad that will be yet. I’d definitely recommend it for beginners. I tried knotless braids, but the hair was a bit too soft to grip at first. After washing and blow-drying, though, it took on a semi-kinky texture, which made braiding way easier. I also heat styled it, and the hair didn’t burn at all, which was a nice surprise!

My daughter is in cosmetology school and she has been very stressed out lately trying to master her bridal hair and curling techniques. I bought her this dark brown real hair head that would help her practice her styling! This hair is very soft and feels very real! I love how this not only comes with the hair mannequin but it comes with so many clips ties combs and tools you need for every hairstyle! My daughter loves this and was super happy with the quality of the hair and how easy it was for her to practice on! She has gotten so much better practicing with this wig and has been helping her a lot! She loves that she can cut style and wash! Great practice high-quality wig!

The hair is definitely mixed not pure human, but it still handles braiding and styling decently. Just don’t expect it to curl like real hair.

The hair quality was terrible. I purchased this item for my state board test and had an incredibly hard time with it. The hair was extremely dry and brittle. When attempting to comb it there was a lot of snagging, shedding, and breakage. When trying to spray down the head with water it absorbed it too quickly and became dry almost immediately. Do not recommend if you need it for your exam!!
