The beauty of 140mm fans is the extra air movement so they can run at lower temps. I use these on my NH-D15 coolers and outside of very heavy loads, they run whisper quiet. Even gaming they are near dead silent. Make sure to adjust your fan curves as for normal usage on my 9900k @ 5.1ghz I can keep the fans running at ~25% speed and temps are nice and low. Like just about every fan, when pushed under very heavy loads they are audible but in a large floor fan kind of way and not a high pitched way which is a plus. The sound dampeners of various colors is a nice touch if your case happens to adhere to a certain RGB color scheme. 5/5

I recently built me a new box and installed NINE of these fans in it. Easy to install and work like a charm. Can hardly hear the NINE fans running which are just to my right. Love the fans and how quiet they really are. Would highly recommend! Great product!

Great like all Noctua solutions, I just wished they offered the NH-U14S cooler with these fans stock. I bought a pair of these to keep my setup all black. That's the only reason why I gave the "value for money" a 2 stars. Noctua should just allow the buyer to pick the fan color desired when getting the cooler but despite "wasting" money buying a black pair of these to stifle my OCD I'm extremely happy with the cooling performance and noise levels given my hardware.

Initially purchased the fan to replace a faulty fan that came with the cpu cooler. Customer support suprisingly sent a replacement fan within two business days. I added this third fan to the cpu cooler and free fan clips from Noctua too. You just have to fill out a form to let them know you purchased the cpu cooler and their fan too. Everything is working perfect.

I bought these fans to replace some fans on my NHD-15. Seeing as how these fans are the same model as the fans that come with the chromax NHD-15, you would think they are wxactly the same. However, Noctua opted for a weird design that makes using an extension with this fan mandatory, unlike the version of this fan that comes with the NHD-15. I am disappointed because the extension cable is too long to use as a heatsink fan without cables being crammed at the top. I wish they would make it very clear that this is NOT the exact same fan that comes with the NHD-15 heatsink.

These fans are huge, which makes them so quiet. They're easy to install and the little color footies are fun to customize. I've got a blacked out case so going all black for me was easy with these.

I am very satisfied with these fans. Though the cable may be a bit short for certain cable management depending on your case/motherboard, they are cased nicely and look good (I'm using a fractal design meshify c case/Asus ROG strix z490 e-gaming motherboard). The installation was super easy. At first I wasn't sure if the screw holes being 120mm on a 140mm fan would work, but for my set up they fit perfectly. Using the self tapping screws was also a breeze. The fans, IMO, are nice and quiet, though I will say at full blast they move a lot of air and the noise factor comes much more into play. That being said, I have never had them go full blast while gaming or running the heaven benchmark on ultra. The black design is refreshing and the slight colour choice in the rubber pads is fun, though you don't see much of the colour once the fan is installed. Overall a great fan and I would recommend these to anyone looking for a 140mm fan.

Replaced a brown NF-A15. Look, it is an expensive fan, but if you want silent Noctua is number 1.

Fantastic fan - low noise level. I used this in a Corsair 275R case and managed to squeeze 2 of these into the top 120mm fan slots. They move tons of air and are silent below 700 RPM. Only downside is the price!
