Works great! Much better to just use this attachment than having a small separate machine for just stairs or upholstery. This maintains the power of the rug Dr and has a wide nozzle to get the job done faster ! It’s always disgustingly satisfying to see how much dirt this machine gets out of my stairs and furniture. This is a must have if you have dogs !

I spilled gas inside my truck, and I have been needing to clean my lazy boy since that is what my dog sits on. I went to look at renting this, and they wanted $40 per day. Well, for just under 2 days, I have my own now. There are two different types, and I highly recommend this one! Apparently the other one that trigger does not work very well. On this, you do not have to squeeze it that much and it starts working right away. Surprisingly it does not leave everything soaking wet, and you can actually go pretty quick because it does spray a good bit. I was able to do my entire Ford explorer and my lazy boy and did not even go through half of a tank. And I did the back of the explorer three times because the gas smell would not go away. I ended up using a cleaner with OxiClean in it and that did the trick. You can obviously tell from the picture that it sure does suck up a lot of dirt. I will tell you this because I found out the hard way, you really need to vacuum first, then use this. To be frank, this looks exactly like the kind you can rent in the store, even has the nice mesh bag. Very glad that I got this, and now my son is using it on his vehicle. Also, it is super easy to hook up on my rug Doctor, and I included a picture of it so you know which model it worked perfectly on.

I bought to clean my car before I sell it. Now it works well. At first no solution came out. The X3 pump stopped wotking. Solution strainer was clean and the switch was in TOOL, but no pump. So i decided to use this new tool and a spray bottle with dileted simple green. Worked OK as a wet vacuum only. After a short while the X3 started making a ticking noise. I checked the pump, which had started working. Now all the coffee and juice stains are gone, and the cloth seats look great. This tool will pay for itself with a higher car sale price. This tool is not as heavy duty as some, but does the job. If you want to clean stains from upholstry or car carpet, it works. This is an essential tool for a used car dealer. The vacuumed up water looks dark as coffee. Tip: The spray pattern is narrower than the tool, so I hold the tool 6" from the carpet when spraying, then on the carpet to suck it up.

Have been using this for a couple of weeks and so far I love using it. I have actually had my X-3 for six years but it didn't come with a hand tool, so I've had to do without till now. First, it was a little unimpressive initially, but after a few times use, it started to grow on me. The newer style tool is not detachable from the hose, but the pressure hose is now internal, and so it is a nice design. The only issue I had with it was when the hand tool popped off of the hose, which was a bummer, but it can be put back on, so actually there is no problem there. I find that you have to keep the rear of the tool, under where you place your hand, flat against whatever you are cleaning, or water flows out the side in use and makes a bit of a mess. But after you get the hang of keeping the tool fully in contact with the surface being cleaned, the water all stays contained within the tool area and there is no mess. Using a good pre-spray and brushing it lightly a few minutes ahead of running the tool works great, and you can use water with no detergent in the Rug Doctor that way, so you are flushing out the cleaning chemicals and the dirt when you use the tool. This way there isn't any residue of the soap left on the fabric or carpet you are cleaning, and that makes it soft and less apt to re-soil. If you're like me you'll start cleaning everything you can get your hands on because it's a lot of fun using this hand tool for cleaning mattresses, furniture, and small carpets and rugs. If you have a Rug Doctor, and don't have the hose and hand tool, you should treat yourself, because it makes the machine much more useful. I highly recommend this item.

We have a rug doctor machine, and we were having a hard time finding the attachments so we could easily clean the couch and stairs without having to rent the attachments. We found them on Amazon, and immediately ordered them. These tools make the cleaning process so much easier, the suction power with the attachments on is not compromised, meaning that your surface dries quickly too, which is another plus. They are easy to use, and easy to store. This purchase has not been regretted for a second. If you’re thinking about it, just do it; they’re definitely worth it!

I really the product, and have been renting them for years. I had other issues ,why i had to return this hose with the rug dr machines , changing hose styles. So this hose wasn't compatible , I highly recommend this hose if you have the original Rug Dr. This company has helped me with the return process, which i really appreciate. Living in a very northern community , ordering online is the only way you'll get this sort of product here. If you need this hose, buy it here. I am disappointed with this item. Deliver was speedy and the item was well packed. I believed that I was buying a Rug Doctor branded accessory but the item has no Rug Doctor markings on it at all. The original hand tool had the Brand embossed on the clear plastic of the upholstery tool (photo attached). Also the brush on the tool is narrower than the original and the hose is around a foot shorter than the original (photo attached). When I examined the tool closely, the plastic tab on the top of the tool, where a screw fixes the casing on, is cracked before it has even been used (photo attached). I expected better coming from Amazon.
